Plus, while this should have been a trilogy, it looks like the author is planning on adding at least two more main characters. I may have to rethink and revise my stars downward.
I loved Sloane and his interactions with Cynthia. Knowing her nickname was Cyn was even better because it played on the duality of her being an angel in disguise. If there was anyone that could have made Sloan "sin" it was definitely Cyn.
Strong interactions with Tristan, Pierce, and Ellie too made for some great conversation too. Just a dang good book. I just discovered this author and I'm so glad I did because she's amazing.

From the very start, you could feel the tension that Sloane was under, the battle he was waging against himself. The way the author described him made me feel his torment myself. Cyn was battling her own past too; although not the furious maelstrom of emotions that Sloane experienced, it was hurt, betrayal and perhaps foolishness that made Cyn the way she was.
Throughout the book, I felt as though I was in the room with these characters; they just came to life in my head. You can feel every emotion pouring out of this book. The writing is very detailed, the storyline strong and manages to deliver the happy ever after while still setting up a fantastic introduction for the next book, which I shall now sit waiting anxiously for.
