I've used stuff sacks filled with clothes for years when backpacking until I finally bought these for me and my girlfriend. She initially made fun of me for buying them, when stuff sacks are readily available in our gear closet.... Then we had a 3 day adventure where it mostly rained and we spent a lot of time in the tent, she was sold, and so was I. These little things are amazing. They easily let you adjust the firmness with the inflation valve, deflate in seconds, weigh absolutely nothing at all it seems, are smaller than a pack of energy gummies, and feel durable enough to make it through at least a couple of seasons of moderate to heavy use.
These little miracles have had more than a handful of nights put on them at this point and remain in great shape. They still hold air all night (no need to re-inflate every few hours), using baby wipes to keep them clean is working just fine, and they remain clipped into the key hangers of our backpacks today.... As a matter of fact they're about to go up to idaho for another 3 nights and then to California for another week of backpacking later next month, I am so confident in these pillows that I won't bother bringing a regular pillow even for the car camping portions of these trips.
