Seemed fine out of the box, then stopped being recognized. Also, once issues began, I wasn't able to launch games on my INTERNAL drive, AND it cause weird lagging of both my Xbox's menus, and oddly enough, my controller inputs.

I went through the whole customer service, which was admittedly nice and friendly, and got a used replacement. Same issues.

Go with another brand.

I bought this hard drive for my PS4 after reading that it is officially licensed to PS4, and it stopped working in just 24 hrs of use!!!, it stopped recognising by PS4 as external storage because somehow it started showing capacity on this drive as 144115.2 TB, what a joke!!, see attached photo, I would not recommend this to anyone if some is thinking it is officially licensed for PS4 system and go to buy, it is rubbish.
** its been week i sent the faulty item back I am still waiting to refund***

A must if you have a decent collection of PS4 games saves deleting games all the time I'm really happy with the product ☺️ the only thing I was unhappy with was the delivery driver who just dumped this and another product I bought on my front door step for everyone that walked past to see, I live on a main road, was lucky it was still there after a few hours 😤 apparently it had been handed in to the resident. I have a safe place on my settings set up. Would really appreciate it if my orders can be placed there in future if no one is home. It's never been a problem before.

Unbox, plug into PS4 USB slot, turn on PS4. That's it. It doesn't need a wall socket like other external drives.

It gets autodetected and formatted. Once formatted it becomes the PS4's default install drive, and you have the option to move any games you want from the internal drive at any time.

Honestly it couldn't be any more easy.

I've got one of the older PS4 consoles and I was sick of having to delete games every time I wanted to play a new game. This hard drive worked straight off when I plugged it in, it asked me how I wanted it formatted. Now I have dozens of games available all the time. All the games that I bought off the Playstation Store I've downloaded again and most of them I never finished, plus all the games I had in boxes on the shelf I've now reloaded so my whole library is available all the time. Sorted

Do NOT buy this product! I got this for my girlfriend's Xbox one for an expansion to the harddrive size. After two months the harddrive went dead, and Seagate's tool showed it was irrepairable. I contacted Amazon and they rightly sent me a replacement. The SECOND replacement is now also dead (July 2019) and we have to download 100's GB data all again. It is a good job this drive didn't have any important data on it. I would not trust this product. It will go desd at any moment! We didn't drop it or damage it or anything it's been sat in the same place on the tv stand.

I repeat do NOT buy this product unless you want to lose your data!
