About the Author
J. Randolph (“Randy”) Turpin, Jr. is the fourth great-grandson of Martin Turpin of East Tennessee. He is also a college president, a teacher, a former pastor, an editor, a writer, a conference speaker, a leadership consultant and a lifetime learner. Randy received a B.A. from Lee University (1980) and M.Div. and D.Min. degrees from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary (1990 and 2005). He has been researching Turpin family history for over thirty-five years. Among other works, Randy has authored another family history volume entitled, A Man Called King: The Life and Legacy of King Turpin, Jr.
