Mike McGee is the funniest man I know. For two years straight I have begun laughing in the middle of a meditation course at the mere thought of him, approaching me with that knowing warmth and love ...

"In Search of Midnight" by The Mighty Mike Mcgee truly speaks the voice of the common man. It has all of the humor you would expect mixed with gut wrenching realities. From hanging out with Jesus to working the graveyard shift at a convenience store; This book takes you not necessarily on the journey of a poet, but rather the journey of a man discovering his passion for life through poetry.
It's safe to say that Mike Mcgee has been in all of our shoes before, from losing jobs to living at home.
But don't let that fool you!
He's dirty when you want it, funny when you don't, and beautiful when you need it.
This book is a must read for all inspiring poets and those just stuck in a rut.
One of the coolest things about this book is its refusal to cater to traditional structure. Poems are interspersed with advice on being awesome, making this the perfect handbook for poets and geeks alike.
