Decent book but nothing you cant find on the internet. The author's point is that there is too much stuff on the internet on the topic and too much of it is bad or plain wrong. He might have a point.
The book is fairly cheap and that alone makes it worthwhile buying if you are just getting into SEO.

A bit redundant on the "google is tight-lipped" sentiment and seems like it could have been paired down. Enjoyed the bonus chapter on PPC more.

Book is for beginners, not much interesting info in this book except a couple nuggets. Very quick read.

It spells everything out as well as it could, but fundamentally it's saying "Hey if you have a niche, to get best SEO you just have to build your SEO in weird ways. If you're in an ultra-competitive space, too bad."

I didn't give 5 stars because in the beginning under the subheader Top 10 Ranking Factors there are only 9 listed and some of the links are bad. The ubersuggest link took me to an Italian auto blog.
Just a lack of attention to detail makes me question how much they cared about the book.

Great book to learn the basic of SEO but some of the sources is out of date.

Is a list of tools only. Even if you are a Beginer you can find it easy, are the typical recommenations.

This book contains a good amount of general information on SEO; however, there were far too many typos and grammatical errors.

Informative and easy read. I did feel like the book appeared to focus more on promoting tools to measure SEO practices rather than teaching and explaining SEO strategies.
