An elegant book. (Beth Brown-Reinsel Knitting Traditions Newsletter 2017-02-01)
This is one of the most inspiring books about fiber I have ever come across... I love how the book talks not only about the fiber itself, but also about the political and geographical conditions of the region; the role of the fiber in the life of the community and, of course, people who are so passionate about their work. The photography is absolutely breathtaking!! It was a true aesthetic joy to look through every page. (Alina Schneider Gift of Knitting Blog 2017-04-18)
What I love about this book is the knowledge that is shared throughout its pages -- it's not only a stunning photographic encyclopedia, but also the well researched product of a passionate wool advocate... If you love the world of fiber, you will want to get yourself a copy. (Anne Hanson Knit Spot Blog 2017-03-12)
From wild to nomadic to farms to wild again, this book is a beautiful celebration of the source of the luxury fibers of the world. I enjoyed the visual tour, and learning about the people and the animals. I highly recommend it! (PDX Knitterait Blog 2017-03-20)
This book is a photographic journey undertaken by a textile firm boss and a photo-journalist, to witness and record the production of eight of the world's most luxurious fibres... This book is beautiful. (The Twisted Yarn Blog 2017-03-27)
With intimate stories and striking pictures, Dominic Dormeull and Jean-Baptiste Rabouan introduces readers to the intriguing origins of wool. The book takes you on a trip around the world... You'll understand how some of the world's most beautiful fabrics begin. (Threads Magazine 2017-10-01)
