Editorial Reviews

"Jennifer Probst has solidified herself as one of my go-to authors with this novel. To me, her writing style is reminiscent of Bella Andre or Susan Mallery, full of passion & fire, and with lighthearted moments perfectly balanced in with the serious. The way the scenes were set up, they completely wrapped me up in the emotions of each character until I could understand exactly where they were coming from. Not an easy feat to accomplish, but done outstandingly well here." (Sara Harlequin Junkie, 5 Stars Top Pick)

"This romance book is nothing but perfection. 5 Stars!" (Book Reviews: The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly...)

"Searching For Perfect is the modern day fairy tale of Beauty and the Geek. This story was so wonderfully written and captivated me from the first page to the last. Jennifer Probst has created yet another masterpiece in this read. I cannot recommend it enough." (Smut Book Junkie Book Reviews, 6 Stars and Top Romance of 2014!)

Kennedy Ashe runs the Kinnections match making service along with her best friends. Her area of expertise? Transformations. It’s her job to take a piece of coal and turn it into a shining diamond. She definitely has her work cut out for her with her next client, Nate Ellison Raymond Dunkle.

Nate is an aerospace engineer and he needs all of the help that he can get. He’s looking to settle down and find a wife, but no one pays him much attention. He’s a hot mess, literally, but underneath the rough exterior lies a heart of gold.

Will Kennedy succeed in finding the perfect match for Nate? Or will her long kept secrets and emotions keep her from the one person that could make her happy; the one person that she never saw coming?

Kennedy drove me absolutely bonkers in the beginning of the story. I found her to be a bit rude and a whole lot unprofessional with the way she talked down to Nate before she began her transformation on him. With the past that she herself had, I would have expected her to be a bit more careful with the way that she spoke to her client. Perhaps help build him not, not just pick him apart and insult his clothes, his hobby, etc. Once Kennedy came around and got off of her high horse, I was able to enjoy her as a character much more. What she dealt with as a kid broke my heart, and it was nice to see her come out of her shell more and more with each passing day that she spent with Nate.

Nate was by far the highlight of the story. He was a bit geeky and a whole lot of hot. Intelligent, caring, funny, honest … the list of qualities that I found endearing could go on and on. In my opinion, he is what made the story and kept me turning page after page.

I debated a bit on 4 or 5 Stars for this one but I really could not come up with anything I really did not like about this story other than possibly the fear of commitment being a bit overused but this had enough original spin on it to not feel like i had read it someplace before in another book.

Kennedy Ashe and Nate Ellison Raymond Dunkle (check the initials) are some sort of match made in someplace south of heaven. the ebb and flow of the story kept you wondering where this was going even though you felt pretty sure that you knew where it was gonna end.

There is enough story outside the romance to keep it from getting boring for me and i would have been really disappointed if there had not been a White Knight scene (which I enjoyed since my usual reading is a lot more violent)

Bottom Line: This is a bit of a "My Fair Lady" plot with several original twists, both of these people have some past they have to get resolved (most of which Nate already has accomplished), Nate's transformation from geek/nerd was a bit too fast but not enough to put me off the story. Kennedy's problems seemed real enough but were wearing thin by the end of the book so the length was about right (maybe a wee bit long but no points lost on that account) so not too much danger of getting bored. All things considered, story, characters and ending it comes in around a 4.5 rounded to 5 Stars.

Received a complimentary copy from Netgalley for an honest review.

First of all let me say I was waiting for this book to come out. I am so grateful I got to read this early. This book is 2nd in the Searching series and focuses on Kennedy and Nate. Kennedy is living a life of perfection on the outside and strives for the perfection in everyday life. She part of the Kinnections group and the idea that Nate needs some "polishing" up for dating in the matchmaking service turned Kennedy into Professor Higgins.

I definitely identified with Kennedy. Her flashbacks gave me flashbacks to my own past. Nate reminded me of Patrick Dempsey in "Can't Buy Me Love." These characters are both searching for their kind of perfect.

The sex scenes were crazy. What can happen with food is amazing. I am still blushing over it.

I loved this book. This book can be read as a standalone, but the previous books would help with the history of some of the characters featured.
I have read all of the Marriage to a Billionaire series and I am thrilled to see that the "Searching" series allows us to revisit characters from the previous series and connect them.

This was a really cute book. I feel like I have read a book like this before though, but never the less, I still enjoyed it. There were times I wanted to smack Kennedy to wake her up to what is going on right in front of her face. I loved Nate, I laughed and laughed at the poor guy. When he finally gets to looking decent he really sounds hot. I love the interactions between him and Kennedy, they are amusing as well as filled with sexual tension most of the time. I'm not really sure if I like his brother though, there are times he seems ok then times where I just really get the wrong vibe from him. He comes around in the end though but I still don't care for him. I did enjoy the speed dating scene because it was so real. There really are people like that out there. Overall I would rate this in at three stars.
