Most of the book is "micropoetry" with a few longer poems toward the end. Rather than explain my various reasons for recommending this book I will supply some of the poems and let you decide:
"If you pray does it matter if someone hears?
"A crime is no less a crime when done a thousand times.
"he sucked on ice until it seeped into his veins and froze his heart."
"The crow squawked but the scarecrow stood his ground...Some take criticism well."
The book is full of such poetry and somehow takes the reader on into a lingering of the mind that outlasts the book.
If you are interested in some very good poetry from a writer most have not heard from this is for you. It not only makes a good gift for yourself but is great to give for Christmas or any other time when thoughts count.

This is a very good book of poetry that deserves widespread attention.
she wants more
than a simple glance
her pen wrote symbols
seared into my skin
like a broken tattoo
dark and chilling
she lays a single feather
across my skull
to the sting
to the bone" (pg. 97)
This fluidity and magic is not an exception but the norm for this poet. Recommended for all poetry lovers.
As I paged through this work I found the poems to be a pleasant read. This is a book to pick up now and then and skim at random. Do not seek wisdom or inspiration, let it find you. Some day one line will seize your soul, another the next time. Read it, sample it, enjoy!
I did receive a free copy of this book for review.
I was not familiar with Frank Watson's poetry before this book, but it has made a fan out of me. Each poem in the book was well worth the time, and I will read them again.
