Voted Beck Valley Books Reviewers Favorite Mini Series from the Love in Bloom Series
If you enjoy the LOVE IN BLOOM series, you may enjoy my new series, HARBORSIDE NIGHTS.
HARBORSIDE NIGHTS is a sexy, hot, and evocatively real New Adult Romance series that follows a group of friends who have known one another for years as "summer" friends, and now come together after college to build their lives. They're tough, edgy, and accepting--most of the time. Catching Cassidy is written in the loving, raw, and emotional voice readers have come to love by New York Times & USA Today bestselling, award-winning author Melissa Foster.
Seaside Nights is a part of Melissa Foster's Love in Bloom Series. It can be read as a stand alone as well as a part of the series. Even though it is book 25 in the series, Melissa Foster never ceases to amaze me with her ingenuity and ability to develop new concepts. I always love the way she is able to develop her story lines so that they intricately weave among the other books in the series, yet also tell a story of their own.
Seaside Nights is Sky Lacroux and Sawyer Bass' story. If you are a fan of Melissa Foster, you will have met Sky in the other Seaside Summer books, as she is Pete Lacroux's little sister. Sky came home to help with her father and to be with her family. She is an amazing artist and has decided to open her own tattoo shop, Inky Skies. She loves to read and is never far from her favorite book of poetry. The last person she expects to see walk into her shop is Sawyer Bass, the performer she had an instant connection with from across the room.
Sawyer Bass is dedicated to his family and friends almost to a fault. He is a professional boxer and provider for his family. In an attempt to escape the reality of his life, he performs at a local bar one of his songs about his father. When he sees Sky, even from across the room, he feels an instant connection. He is completely surprised to find the woman who has not been far from his thoughts, in the tattoo shop. But will he have room for her with his family and career taking so much of his focus?
Melissa Foster has a compelling way of drawing you in from the start and not letting go. She writes such great chemistry and connections between her characters, you will instantly fall in love with them. There were many times I laughed as well as cried while reading this book. Sometimes I laughed so hard I cried. I definitely can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!
This is my favorite (so far) of the seaside series. Sky Lacroux is Pete's little sister. She was always a wanderer, but once her father went into rehab, she put down roots. Sawyer Bass writes music but his career is as a boxer. When Sawyer and Sky meet during open mic night, they're immediately drawn to one another.
I really connected with both Sky and Sawyer. They were intriguing characters with demons that needed to be handled. Sawyer was almost a little TOO poetic, but it did work for the story.
This book! So sweet, sexy, honest, and beautifully written it'll have you swooning. Sawyer is one of my favorite hunky alpha's in the Seaside group. He's romantic, good with words, honest, kind...'sigh'. Sky is another amazing beautiful soul that I was ecstatic to get to know better.
I always enjoy getting to know each of the characters in the LIB series and catching up with what's happening in my favorites lives. I'm so happy there are babies introduced.
The prank in this story is the best one yet! What Theresa does to get back at Bella is absolutely perfect. I laughed so hard.
Love the Seaside Summers series & this is a great addition! Sky is a fun easy going young woman that is sure love will find her. Sawyer is a boxer at a turning point in his career. One more hard hit could be his last.
They meet at open mike night as Sawyer is singing. The story progresses as Sky learns to live with his career and tries to convince him that he should do something with his poetry & songs. Will they get together? Does Sawyer survive another hit?
This story is told in a little different manner than the others but it is still a Melissa Foster story. Can't wait for the next one!
Sky Lacroux moved back home to help run her father’s shop when he went into rehab. Now a couple years later, her dreams are finally coming true. She’s loved art and painting her entire life and her talent is finally paying off. She’s bought and renovated the tattoo shop in which she’s worked. She’s been living at Seaside while they were doing renovations on her shop and the apartment above it and she’s been getting ready for her grand re-opening. Spending time with her friends has always been one of her favorite things to do but she can’t help but wish that she had what they have. She never would have guessed that when she found “him” that she would fall so fast, love so quick or be conflicted so much.
Sawyer Bass was a poet, a singer and a song writer but first and foremost he was a boxer. When he first saw Sky across the bar, he was moved by her and wrote a song about her before he even knew her name. When he went to get a tattoo the following day, he knew it was fate when Sky was the one that permanently inked him with his latest words. With his final fight just around the corner, he had to stay focused and not just because winning this fight could secure his Dad’s future. This fight is not only his last, it could be his end because if his doctors have warned him against fighting ever again.
I’ve been a fan of Sky’s since she first came to Seaside and was happy to see that she had finally found love. Sawyer could not have been more perfect for Sky! This was another amazing book by Melissa Foster. I’ve long been a fan of her closely knit family and friends writing style and always know going in that the book will hard to put down and this one was no different. I loved catching up with the Seaside girls and their crazy antics and can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
