This is my updated review. I still found the book quick to read and kept my interest even though I had read it before. It is so refreshing to read a romance novel that leaves things to your imagination rather than being sexually explicit. The techique of the book being written in the thoughts and words of the two main characters was an interesting way to know what each was feeling at basically the same time. I have read all the books in the Seaside series and have enjoyed them all. I am now reading the Bayside series and I look forward to new books in either of the series.
As for the complaint about editing I noticed that most of the mistakes have been corrected. There were still some corrections that needed to be made though.
I understand that both parents were deeply grieving. However, Jake was the brother Sophia was closest to, and he was also her caregiver for the last two years. It defies belief that the parents could treat him so very badly, be so insensitive to him, and have no inkling how cruel and selfish they were being. They were so hateful, it was difficult to believe these were the same parents who are so wonderful and supportive in all the other books in this series.
But I loved the relationship that developed between Jake and Tiffany. And I loved how the whole family eventually took responsibility for failing to do their part, apologized, and really stepped up and made amends.
The story of Jake and Tiffany is beautiful, and I highly recommend it.
Of course he must fall for a troubled woman - a woman running from her abusive husband.
The reader knows her story from the beginning and is waiting for the shoe to drop and her ex showing up again.
The book gives a lot of drama and excitement, it never gets boring.
What I like about this book is the human aspect, the development of the two main characters, Jake and Tiffany. Both have to step out of their old selves and become someone else, re-define themselves, but still stay true to their characters.
A lovely book. I am looking forward to reading more about the Hunter family.
This was a great read! It's clean, it is fun, and it has romance and suspense! I'm going to enjoy reading all the books in this series!

However because I normally enjoy Stacy's books and because this book is on Kindle Unlimited, I am going to try the next in the series hoping that this one was an anomaly! With Kindle Unlimited you really have nothing to lose!
After the way Trent assaulted Tiffs Grandpa, I expected him to be this big evil son of a gun. Unfortunately the fight between Trent and Jake was a little....lacking? It felt more like two teen boys fighting and the insults they used were very immature. This lead to 4* instead of 5. Saying that, I'd still recommend this book. I'm hoping Dimitri has a story of his own somewhere.
