The book features a trio of angels (Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy) who have to answer the prayers of three people on earth. The only problem is, the angels enjoy getting into mischief and causing Gabriel many headaches!
The book is funny and romantic. It's a wonderful Christmas romance, and does not include the promiscuous sex found in most of the romances printed today. It fits well with Christian beliefs, and doesn't offend.
I highly recommend this book, if you can find a copy! It's very hard to find as no one wants to let theirs go, and it is out of print. But, if you're lucky enough to stumble upon one, GRAB IT!
This is suppose to be a Christmas book, but in reading it you can often forget it's a Christmas book. Only from time to time do they have a reference to Nativity scene, a Christmas tree, etc. Not until you are nearly finished with the book does the "Christmas" come in. That I was a little disappointed in but it did come into itself at the end.
Also there are three separate stories going on so often times it was hard to keep characters straight and with what storyline they are in. In Book #4 all the stories came together at the end; and that's what I kind of expected; but that didn't happen in this book. None of the stories mix together.
This is a ROMANCE book (which kind of threw me off also since book 4 wasn't so much one) so most of the storyline is more romance than anything. I normally don't read that genre of book so with that said this is probably one of the first actual romance books I've read. It wasn't 'bad' at all, and am looking forward to reading all the rest of the books in this series.
Shirley, Goodness and Mercy are the prayer angels send to Earth to help humans fulfill their prayers. And although the story is 'their' story they aren't the main characters and they are only mentioned just enough to remind you they are there.
Neat 'real life' subject for the three stories you could very easily relate to one of the stories if you have ever was in their situation. So that was nice that it was written where people could relate

Story was hard to follow. I found it difficult to pick up where the story was after each angel's task was done.. I wouldn't want to read another book following this same stylePublished 2 months ago by Sue
