I like recipes that call for ingredients you already have in your home. This book is just that. It also gives you ideas as to how to use the leftovers. This is great for me, as my family will not eat reheated leftovers.
I have already cooked several things from this book and my family has loved them.
I have to tell you though, the first recipe I made from this book was her butter coffee... What? Don't judge me, that's all the readily available ingredients I had at that time! Now, she does warn you about putting hot coffee in the blender, but I had just purchased a new Ninja blender (also off Amazon, whoop-whoop!!) and the cover of the blender doesn't have the traditional removable plastic piece for the drop hole like most blenders do. It just has the plastic cover over the spout. So I popped the cover up a bit so it wasn't snapped in securely, you know, to let the steam off, held a towel over the opening just in case and Boyyyyyyy... I turned that sucker on and (in my Kevin Hart voice) I WASN'T READYYYYY!!! My counter had more coffee than I had in my cup.
Anyway, lesson learned. Just go to Starbucks.
