This produce works as advertised. I'm running an i7 and a 670 off of it. Seasonic is pretty famous for their quality, and I don't have any reason to doubt it with the product I received. It sounds like the review before me received a unit that exhibits coil whine. Unfortunately, that is a potential problem when you build your own system. Luckily, he has a 5 year time span with his warranty to replace it.

Modularity is great. Not completely modular, but the only cables that are permanently attached are the ones you need, namely: CPU power cable, motherboard power cable, and PCIe power cable. Every other cable is removable, and they all have a nice length to them. I was able to wrap them all around behind my motherboard without much trouble.

Seasonic power supplies get great reviews throughout the internet and this unit is no exception. I have it powering a Gigabyte mainboard with an AMD FX8350, Corsair 240mm closed water cooler, 16gb Hyperx ram, 2x GTX 760 SLI, 1 SSD, 3 mechanical HDD's, a blu ray burner, and a DVD burner. The system runs like a champ with no dropouts. I join a list of very satisfied Seasonic owners. I highly recommend this product!

Seasonic has a well deserved reputation as one of the best PSU manufacturers in the world. It's relatively quiet, efficient. It's also modular making it great for case air ventilation. I wish the 4+4 connector was a few inches longer so I could route it behind my motherboard in my Full tower Rosewill Thor V2. The 12V has 70 amps, enough to power at least 2x7970 (R9 280x). I upgraded from the 620w version of this PSU, It's a good PSU from a company that has earned my continued business.

My Silverstone 1200W power supply died, so I sold my three GTX 470 cards and upgraded to two GTX 770 cards. I don't know if it will work with triple SLI, but this 850W power supply does a great job with my current computer setup.

I thought this would be a semi-modular design but mine came as the fully modular variety. Not sure if it is really necessary seeing that a semi modular psu would save you the effort of having to plug in everything. Plenty of power and got it at a really good price.

This is a great power supply, and I love that it's 90% modular. As another reviewer pointed out, the only cables that aren't removable are the ones you will need for just about every PC build. There are lots of additional cables and there should be plenty to suit all your needs. This should provide plenty of power for anything but the craziest PC build, and so far I haven't had any issues with my components not having enough power.

Mine had some coil whine at first, but after a few hours that sound went away and never came back.

Get it!

Awesome Power supply, gives me all the power i need to run 2 video cards! My only knock is, sure it is modular, but when you build a gaming pc, you most likely will be using everything, so it almost makes more of a mess.

First let me say I am a HUGE Seasonic fan. I've owned their power supplies in the past and used PSUs in other builds. However, this model has one huge flaw that is truly unacceptable in this age of quiet computing....The fan is way too LOUD. When I initially got everything hooked up and booted up the first time, I genuinely thought it was malfunctioning. By far the loudest thing in my case was the PSU fan. The noise was unbearable. The build quality is great, and it otherwise works perfectly, but I could not keep the unit due to the loudness. I ended up getting a Corsair RM750.
