Bought this after two different Antec Earthwatts power supplies I purchased both emitted high pitched whines. The Seasonic does not emit a high pitched whine, but it was noticeably louder than a properly functioning Earthwatts power supply. Other than that, no complaints, installed easily, power cables were nicely sleeved, had a sufficient number of disk drive power connectors for my mid-tower system, and all the extra power connectors you'd need for a midrange system (such as one six-pin Molex for a graphics card, and one extra 4-pin Molex for the motherboard).

Update: Bought another one of these to replace a LOUD but otherwise functional power supply supplied in a barebones system I bought for my wife. The new one is nearly silent, quieter than the one I bought last year. I can barely tell the machine is on. Increasing rating to five stars.

I love this supply.

I replaced the supply in a drive bay. The OEM supply was a decent unit, but had an always-on fan with no speed control, and the bay is located next to my desk, so that didn't work. This drive is massive overkill (for 2x BD drives plus 3x 3.5" HDDs, total of maybe 50W), so the fan almost never kicks on.

I purchased this as a replacement power supply for my HTPC. It's well made, virtually silent and I've had no issues. Be aware this is a no frills power supply so if you are looking for modular cables and connectors for high power video cards this is not for you. But if you want to power a HTPC or other low power computer, the quality of Seasonic is worth investing in.

This PSU is right at recommended capacity for my system (using the excellent Outer Vision eXtreme PSU calculator). It has a very, very quiet 120 mm fan that really helps with case exhaust, and it hasn't shown any buzzing at idle or load. All voltages have been within spec during full load monitoring at maximum stable overclock on air. It has an excellent warranty and the advantage of 80Plus Bronze efficiency. So far, I am extremely pleased.

I bought this PSU to replace a 6 year old 300 watt Antec PSU that died. It cost a little bit more than I had planned to spend, but it's a top quality product. It has sturdy construction, temperature-controlled 12cm fan, 5 year warranty, nylon-sleeved cables, and 80 plus bronze efficiency. The voltage outputs are less than 3% away from where they should be, and the improved efficiency cut my computer's overall power usage by about 30 watts.

This PSU is a great choice for those who want a high quality unit, but don't need tons of power.
