I have kept this tool on my keychain for decades (probably when they were first introduced). I am a retired state trooper and an anonymous donor purchased these for every trooper on the road ( over 1500 at the time). They indeed came in handy. The window punch and seatbelt cutter are definitely the tools to have when in a desperate situation such as being trapped in a vehicle under water (sometimes the vehicle isn't upright and the belt can be difficult to unlatch with the weight of the person on it in an "upside down" mode). That being said, the "quick release" snap on this tool, the seat belt cutter, and the window punch are a must in emergencies requiring a quick exit under less than optimal circumstances.

A very cool product for getting out of a car in a dangerous situation. Hanging it from the rear-view mirror is perfect. When pulled away from the mirror the blade guard comes off automatically making it ready to slice through a seat belt, if needed, yet the blade is recessed and out of way so it won't cut your hand during the emergency. It's also automatically in the perfect position in your hand to push it against the car window to shatter it so you and your passengers can escape within 30secs. to save all of your lives. A GREAT design.

Have bought them for both vehicles...because you just never know when disaster may strike. 1 hangs from the rear view mirror, and in the other vehicle from the end of the visor. Well made, does the job.
