Secret Corners of the World is one of many books published by the Special Publications Division of the National Geographic Society. This book reveals six exotic places found off the beaten tracks of the globe. These far away places are the Marquesas Islands in the Pacific, northern Afghanistan, Tierra del Fuego, the Santa Marta Mountains of Columbia, the Alpujarras Mountains of Spain, and the Ruwenzori Mountains of East Africa. Reading this volume is much like reading an expanded issue of a National Geographic magazine. The many photographs make this book a real pleasure to read. Includes a map for each chapter. Highly recommended.
