The author’s distinct voice and point of view cuts through the BS and gets to the heart of the matter in a funny, concise and inspirational way. Sometimes you need a gentle nudge to follow through with creative endeavors. Sometimes you need a swift kick. 7 Secrets leans toward the swift kick, but in a no nonsense, gentle tone that you can't get out of your head when you engage in time wasting activities.
I've taken care of my parents the past decade and used that as an excuse to procrastinate with my personal projects. Thanks to this book, I can no longer binge watch or google-monger with joy at the end of a long, hard day. I have to devote twice as much time to unfinished projects as I do to chill time to appease my guilty conscience. Also, I re-read snappy snippets once or twice a week to stay on track. At this rate, an 11 year old project will be complete in a few months and the next project will be completed in a much shorter time frame.

I really, really like this book.
Why? Because its incisive conversational style pulled me in from the very first sentence and held my attention to the last, because even while it held my attention it simultaneously made me want to hastily put it aside to go searching through the electronic graveyard of my half-finished stories and transform one of them from a “what if” into a “what is,” because it quickly became clear that its message can be applied to any area of my life where self-doubt percolates and procrastination infiltrates.
I’ve read it twice and plan to re-read whenever my inspirational tank threatens to run low. It's an easy enough read.
I am glad the author got the chance to make good on his hospital-bed vow to preserve his stories and pass them on, because this Snappy Guide is a story worth reading. And re-reading!

This book should be named "Get Off Your Damn Butt and Write, Right Now!" because that is what it did to me. I actually had just started my gofundme page to obtain 3 months worth of expenses so that I could write the stories that are singing in my head! I titled it, It is Time 2 Write my Story [...] Being a single mom, there is little time to sit and do anything, especially with son who has been ill. Reading Alexei's book made me stop everything and I have already written the first in a series of children's books, which is one of the projects I have just prayed over. The books have been burning inside my soul, and I am so thankful that Alexei's book came along to give me that kick and realize the urgency of this venture! Thank you Alexei!

This book was very inspirational and motivational. As someone who is quite busy living in the big city, I find it hard to make time for the creative pursuits that make me happy. This book is short enough for procrastinators like me that don't have time to read a lengthy, heavy book. The tips are witty, actionable and bite-sized, and there's no excuse for procrastinators NOT to read this book! Life is short, and as Alexei knows every minute counts. Don't waste one more minute, buy this book and unleash the creativity you've been holding back all this time.
