This book is different, with living, breathing (at least for a while) people who have lives that are more than backdrop tossed in as filler. Stacey Longo writes with heart and care, which gives us meaning. When there is pain in a story, it matters. She gives us the fun in a dysfunctional family, and humor amidst the darkness. She takes familiar tropes and makes them fresh and lively.
A solid work by a skilled storyteller. These tales should not be a secret.
