Kaden's world is about to be knocked on it's axis more than it already is and Rhett is there to help him through it, no matter what.
I loved this book, although I don't like Annabelle. Don't get me wrong, I get what she went through in the first book, but I mean damn. I won't go into detail, but she needs to put on her big girl panties and take the world by storm and stop making everything so got dang difficult and don't get me started on the whole stranded situation. The FBI in this book is right along with her in the people I disliked the most, they worked my nerves just as bad.
I love Rhett and Kaden! They are one of my favorite couples, tied with Dex and Sloan. It was awesome sauce all wrapped up in hot damn! The love and support they have for each other is amazing!
Liz please for the love of all that is holy and beans, please say that the next book will be out soon because I think I'm going through withdrawal already.
In this book Kaden it trying to find ways to cope with losing part of his leg in the plane crash and the physical and emotional pain that comes with that loss. He is also suffering from horrible vivid nightmares from the crash, never getting to sleep through the night, which is also not helping with depression. While he is enjoying his new job, he does miss the person to person contact with his students. Then he gets a call that brings his world crashing around his ears.
Rhett is hurting for his husband also, and being so far away from home, and the day to day operations of the the charter business that he and Pops run together and the emotional support of his family, also, being stuck on the ground, away from his plane while waits for the FBI to crack their case and rescue the sex trafficked victims so he can fly them out, is not doing his state of mind any good either. Then he gets the phone call that brings his world crashing to a halt.
Can they make it through this last set of events? Can the FBI keep them in a foreign country when every thing in both men says they needed else where? And can Rhett and Kaden find their way through all the lies told to them, again, by the very people they are supposed to trust? And in the end are they even safe? Or are they being used as bait, putting their very lives in danger? In the end they have each other, and the strong love that they have nurtured to keep them together, but will they survive this act in the story of their lives? You have to pick up Secrets No More to catch up on this family and their shenanigans, and with a sister like Annabelle, stuck in her teen years, you know there is going to be hilarity.
This book is the bridge setting us off to a new set of adventures in a different direction for our Rhett and Kaden.
I really enjoyed the sense of normality that was playing in the background, sort of like white noise, while Rhett and Kay were being put through the ringer. This book would have been way more tragic had it not been for the dialogue between Rhett and his sister. Her sexcapades in the cockpit of the plane had me in stitches.
What I didn’t care much for was the almost juvenile description of Rhett and Kaden when they were having sex. Seriously, it almost read like a YA book during the supposed passionate scenes, and that was very annoying when you take into account the similar situations in previous books. There was the usual tenderness they share, Rhett just worships Kaden and that was evident throughout the story. Kaden is experiencing some depression and self loathing having lost part of his leg in the plane crash, but Rhett is determined to make sure Kay knows how much he loves him every day, that was amazing.
This was just an okay read for me, and that pains me, because I’ve loved this series. Even with the slight step back with this story for me, I’ll continue to read Rhett and Kaden’s journies because I’m so invested in them as a couple that I have to know where the road is taking them.Read more ›

Very good and a fast read but some of the situations strain to be considered realistic. Still a great read.Published 9 months ago by Tom
