This book got such good reviews, I was very excited to read it. I was also excited that it was a short book so I could finish it all on a rainy, lazy Sunday afternoon. I was disappointed. I liked the premise, and I even liked the idea of the characters. However, the whole book really lacked depth. I love reading romances, even I know that they are all truly unrealistic. However, to me, the best romances are those where the author can take something that is truly unrealistic and make you believe it. I appreciate good dialogue and a true connection with the characters through human emotion and empathy. I did not get that in this book. I think it had a lot of potential but fell very, very short. The heroin, Mandy Mitchell, did not invoke empathy from me, and honestly by the end of the book I wondered what she ever did that caused the smart, sexy hero (Zeke) to love her. I didn't believe it. And I absolutely hated the side character Tori. Her whole being in the story was silly and immature. Every word that came out of her mouth sounded like a highschooler wrote it. Overall...a blah read. I wish I had chosen better.

Loved it....Meet Ezekiel(Zeke)Nicholas billionaire extraordinary....now when she goes to clean the villa...she is surprised he's there....she identifies herself as Amanda Lockhart from housekeeping...

He asks her are you Mandy Mitchell? I used to be...he tells her who he is...but nothing she does not remember...When he tells her his full name the first words out of her mouth are Ezekiel the Geekiel...and her name was Mandy the Magnificent. He can't believe it's her..
An innocent scene is taken the wrong way and she pays for it..

What once was imaginary comes reality...reading this book had me laughing at some of the lines Mandy said to Zeke like when she had to sleep on it...
The heat between these two is pretty hot...Zeke is so sweet, kind, romantic...He goes through some great lengths to prove himself to Mandy.

You will love this book...December 9th on ebook make sure to buy it...

Roxanne St. Claire has a winner trilogy the has just begun...So hang on for the ride...I can't wait..

The name of this book is perfect...
I'm so looking forward to reading Seduction on the Sand...

Enjoyed the story. Our was nice to read a love story without pages of graphic sex scenes. The characters were somewhat shallow but ok.

Fantastic continuation of the original series. We are back at Barefoot Bay meeting some new friends, Amanda "Mandy" Mitchell and Zeke "Ezekiel the Geekiel" Nicholas. In high school she was the popular rich girl and he was the nerd. Funny how things can change. With it's great characters and heartwarming story this is one book you don't want to miss. Highly recommended.

I just love Roxanne St. Claire's writing, and I truly will read anything she puts out. But this series looks to be especially fun!! All about our dear Barefoot Bay that we already know and love...and who should show up there but a billionaire? I love billionaires, especially when they're out of their comfort zone and have to deal with regular people--including the heroine, who can show him what he's missing in his life of money and power. Secrets on the Sand is tons of fun, emotional and sexy without going over the top. It's all about the tension between Mandy and Zeke, not about interlocking body parts. And the romance! It will sweep you away to a beautiful sandy beach in the sunshine...and who couldn't use that right about now? Try this short romance for a GREAT price, and you will be hooked on St. Claire.

It was an OK quick read - I didn't realize it was a novella when I got it, so I might not have read it at all had I known it was only 120 pages.

The characters were OK, but their development wasn't that great - at first the "hero" was altogether too gushy and did not seem that manly at all and throwing in a swear word doesn't make a character manly in case the author thought that was working for her. The back story of the heroine was never really discovered, so her motivations for being the way she was were not really believable at times and her errant, nasty husband was wrapped up and delivered in a bow so-to-speak, just to make the ending work.

I will also say to the author that the part at the beginning (and this is no spoiler) when the hero is talking with his mother about how much money and stuff he has was HORRIBLE - what happened to show don't tell? We didn't have to hear how he spent $5M on this and had this 100ft yacht - that is telling at it's worst.

It was an enjoyable enough read, but there were some parts that were just grating because they were so rushed - if the book had been normal length, there would have been less telling and more showing I know.

I hope the author does better with the others in the series.
