This elegant and simple book sums up who we are and how we can be happy. It is for anyone who wants a guide to authentic happiness or, like me, anyone who needs a reminder...

When I read this book I am reminded that real life and authentic happiness come from knowing that Tai Sheridan, Shunryu Suzuki, Charles Prebish, Pema Chodron, Thomas Merton, Rumi, Hafiz and Charlotte Joko Beck are part of my real family, the part that is awake and constantly celebrating our family reunion.

sheridan's poetry is childlike and real; plus I've never read a better self-help book. His acceptance of reality is liberating, and his insistence on our just being our true selves is so refreshing. It is damn hard to be depressed reading him. Yea, I wanna be a Buddha in blue jeans!

Expected a lot form this book but got so little. I can't believe it. I thought that this would be something more not just a few pages with silly songs about happiness, pride and anger. It really disappointed me and I can say that I am left empty-handed from this book. Not something over philosophical and pretty simple, even too simple.

I love books like this for times when you have a minute or even a few extra minutes for a quick read. This book contains many brief poignant statements that the reader can embrace as he goes about his day and in the end be a better person for it.

Given that this is a short and simple primer on ways of looking at the world, looking at life, I felt it was helpful. of course, sometimes less is more -- and this book is a good example of that. Lessons which don't necessarily sink in all the way at first glance. Easy to revisit the ideas presented and reflect on the different ways in which they might apply to life over time.

This was e a bad rip off from the secret. If you like that sort of thing, just read the secret. The book was really short and not at all helpful. I'm not sure what the author was trying to communicate with this book, but I found it a waste of storage space on my kindle.

It may be short, it may be poetry, but the message is good and needed.

The book helped me with changing my view of many things, just by helping me step outside of my own opinion. I return to the book often.

I have been down, not enjoying life or my family. So I decided to look for inspiration. How can I be happy. It seemed like such a foreign concept. I read through this short book and found some inspirations. They are simple concepts that make a strong impact on your life and relationships. They are also very easily over looked by people like me. Now I just have find a way to implement them into my life.
