Even though I've been doing it for a while, I went ahead and picked up this book to learn more about raw food diets. (I admit the low price grabbed me, especially for a 60 page Kindle book). What I've been eating is a bit like what they call the "mainstream raw food diet" - though they say it should be more like 70% raw to 30% cooked for that diet. They do suggest that you could use a diet like mine as a starting point to transition to a raw vegan diet.
The book makes a good case for a raw vegan diet. It has a good seven-step motivational plan for transitioning to the diet, plus a good section on what to stock in your pantry for a raw food diet. There are only four recipes at the end. I would to have seen more recipes, and maybe a checklist version of the information in the pantry section. But overall, this is a great, short read to help you build the mindset for a raw food diet.
I like the way this book is laid out; the info about the author really helps to personalize it too.
I also like the fact that there are additional books with recipes and additional information.
And, being a sweets fan (unfortunately), I love the fact that there is a "raw" cheesecake recipe with me in mind - no doubt.
Anxious to give it a try as well as changing my eating habits with this easy to read and follow book as a guide. Thanks to author for writing it!
It has provided me with the most important information that I can get in my life. I always believe that vegetarian food is healthy and good but I never thought this can do a lot for my overall well being.
Just the thought of battling deadly diseases by eating the right kind of food comforts me. The information enclosed here is really life-changing.
