Secura TurboFry Oven is the NEXT GENERATION multi-functional cooking device. TurboFry oven is a rotisserie turbo oven and a low-fat fryer at the same time.
Comparing to previous generation turbo oven, TurboFry Oven cooks more evenly thanks to its build in turntable. Food rotates 360 degree within the oven, thus there is no spot left undercooked.
Convection fan in TurboFry oven is more powerful than previous generation turbo oven. You do not need to turn over your food during cooking a whole chicken or a pizza. TurboFry oven utilizes a carbon heating element which is the latest heating technology. It heats up and cooks faster, more energy efficient and it locks in nutrition and moisture in food.
Traditional deep fryers soak the foods you cook with grease that contains high amounts of saturated fats. This is why the Secura TurboFry Oven is so different. It uses only 1 tablespoons of cooking oil to prepare up to two pounds of French fries (weight of peeled and cut potatoes).
It uses a charged turbo fan that cooks the French fries with hot air as opposed to cooking oil that is greasy and fattening. The oven uses a food tumbler that will mix the fries and oil for best results. The cooking temperature is reached almost instantly by using a carbon infrared heating element. These infrared waves cook the food inside out so that your food will be cooked thoroughly in the shortest possible time.
The housing of the TurboFry Oven is made of heavy duty glass.Standard Accessories: turntable baking rack, high rack, food tumbler, tongs, oil measuring spoon, extender ring.

Replacing the bulb was very difficult and expensive, so I decide to take the plunge and I purchase this model.
Here's the PRO: I like that the temp can be set by dial so you do not have to cycle thru to the top temp; which is where most of my cooking was done. Also the dial timer is easier to set than the digital. Nice appearance, not too much counter space and the lid pivot arm is great.
Bulb is carbon vs glass on the 798. I expect it will last longer but, time will tell.
CON: Cannot adjust fan speed as on the 798. If you have a light powder coating it blows all over. It takes longer to cook items even though it has more power. The timer frequently sticks and does not shut off. The grill center cover and rotary mech. make it a little harder to clean. You cannot self clean like the 798 due to the hole in bottom. Although in reality that was more of a selling gimmick than useful. The cord needs to be a little longer and detachable.
If secura would merge the good features of this unit and the 798 they might have a winner.
I have not tried the rotary feature, but frozen french fries cook well w/o.
UPDATE: Bulb lasted 6 months. Replacement unit bulb lasted 3 months. Gave up and purchased a much less expensive unit. Miss the hinged top but it cooks just as good or better.
The top arm is cumbersome, awkward & aggravating to raise/lower or open/close. The only good thing about it is there is a paddle that rotates around the bowl to continuously turn diced potatoes to make tasty hash browns or root veggies etc. & the bowl is heavy glass whereas NuWave's dome is plastic but I got the bullet-proof one so it is still light & won't break. The glass bowl in the Secura heats up & radiates heat into the room & BURNS you if you're not careful when working with or around it. This appliance pretty much collects dust comparied to my NuWave oven which I use every day - sometimes several times a day.
Replace the rack with a stirring arm (watch video yourself), the oven can churn food for you when it cooks. Works similar to Actifry, but larger capacity. Fries, almonds and all types of nuts. Pretty amazing.
The rotisserie part is a must have for fries and other 'loose' stuff and it evenly cookes/bakes/fries, whatever you want to call it, evenly!
Frozen fries in, 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil (yes, that's all!!) and roughly 30 minutes...excellent. No trace almost of any fatty residue on a paper towel after cooking it this way.
