Be cognizant of the fact that when you're in the cold, you will have gloves on which makes it harder to install the chains. Then when you take off your gloves, your fingers and hands will get cold and wet also making it hard to install the chains. But if you practice and prepare, you can at least move a little faster and you know what you're doing before you hit the real thing and run into issues.
