This Camera photo frame was pretty easy to set up after reading the directions. The camera is nice for seeing a live stream of what is happening near the frame. Very easy to record and take snapshots through the app. This monitor is used for monitoring our home security cameras and the resolution is stunning. Excellent color rendering and night vision is as clear as it comes! We have the video security system tucked away in a filled in space so size, in this case mattered a lot. .It can’t even find out if there is a cam in the photo frame . The motion detection is a plus point . And the other plus point is WiFi enabled which I could download or stream live . This is a great one and good gift . I highly recommend to buy.

good idea, in theory, but actually less effective as a nanny cam

I really loved the idea of this camera, but being used as a nanny cam, it doesn't really work very well... if the nanny is doing her job, the motion detection will CONSTANTLY be notifying me & filling up the memory (I guess this could be a good thing... we will see how long the 128 gig SD lasts before getting full). It does give me an eye into the room, without being conspicuous. The fact that this is a picture frame has it's limitations. If it's on a shelf, it leans too far back and most of what I see is the ceiling - I had to find a lowish shelf and prop it up a bit more. If it's on the top of the 5 foot high dresser, basically, I see nothing of importance. I can't put it up on a wall and see ANYTHING, based on the room layout... and even if I had a wall across from my daughter's bed (she is bed bound), I think it would be really odd to hang up a photo at the level it would need to be to capture the room properly. The audio barely works - my daughter listens to movies all day, I can't hear a thing on the live feed (maybe the room AC is interfering) - this is with the default settings. I was speaking in a normal voice and can hear absolutely nothing on the recording. The microphone is basically useless, as far as I can tell - you definitely won't be able to communicate with the person if needed (probably wouldn't, if used as a secret nanny cam... but the lack of audio recording is a bummer).

I don't see a way to delete data from the SD card... I somehow recorded myself in my office, charging the battery the last 24 hours, so have a LOT of recordings of the ceiling. However, now the camera is no longer collecting data to the SD card. No where does it tell me how to fix this... or if it only puts the data there after end of day.

In order to charge the battery, you must take apart the frame and remove the picture - this is going to be super suspicious if used as a secret nanny cam - who on earth removes a picture periodically (no one). I don't see instructions on how to tell when the frame is fully charged (just to make sure to charge for 24 hours before using) - I assume the app will help here (or at least I hope).

On the plus side, it catches my daughter moving, even though she is really far to the left of the screen. The picture quality seems quite good (in my unprofessional opinion). I haven't used the night vision - is a useless feature as a nanny cam (with only daytime care for my daughter)... but could come in handy if someone breaks into the house. Unlike some of the cheaper picture frame cameras, the design masks the actual camera/speaker/microphone.

This would be better used in a setting where there could be high theft or something like that. Not that great for Nanny Cam, in my opinion.

Still, it's a cool device, and I'll continue to try to use it as a nanny cam... I'll try to remember to update this review in a few months.

I don’t know how long the battery can be staying because I didn't trust the battery, but maybe I am just paranoid. I purchased the frame roughly three weeks ago and I love it.

I put the frame on the wall in the living room and for sure no one detected it. The quality of the camera, for which I had concern before the purchase, was absolutely beyond my expectation. The living room is approximately 300 sq feet and is fully captured by the camera with details. The motion detection, for which I only tested a few times, worked well too. I occasionally check the video through the app on my phone. Sometimes the video footage got latency but it didn’t bother me at all. The battery lasted longer than expected as well. The camera was on in the past three weeks and I only had to charge the battery once.

Installation was straight forward and the instruction was easy to read and follow. The only minor thing I didn’t like so much was the way to configure the device pairing to wifi. It had to be super load to pair and it was not easy to do so if there were people around. However, I only had to do it once so far so that’s fortunate.

In general, the experience is exceptional and I love the product.

The next day after the order was placed, the item was received. It looks like an ordinary photo frame. It will not attract anyone's attention in the living room, and there is no flaw. After two days of research, I have been unable to connect to WiFi. I finally found that the home WiFi is set to 5G mode, changed to 2.4G mode, and connected in a few seconds. The shooting picture is clear, the recording effect is clear, and the motion detection function is very Awesome, you can remind your family if there are strangers breaking in, but now I can't realize the automatic recording function when the object is moved.

Great hidden security camera ! ! The lens is well hidden, unless keep a close attention. It is slightly larger than the ordinary adapter. It can support a maximum of 128 GB of memory.
It’s pretty convenient. Like the quality of the camera. I don't have to worry about memory card. Easy to use, download the APP “Yi Eye” simple setup and easy use , just insert and start recording good. The app is all right, but playing videos back in the app are slow when you're checking while connected to Wi-Fi or mobile network. Videos play fine if you take the mini SD card out and watch the videos on a computer. I recommend you do that if you can, and need to download or share videos. Great product for the price .
