It works well for a deaf user. The strobe is bright, albeit a bit of time lag from the moment when transmitter button is pressed. The button battery needed hard press to get it in place. Drawback: You can't expect to pay less for an extra receiver to be used in another room. You have to buy the entire set.

If you want to have more receivers to work with one transmitter, the easiest way is to follow these steps for each receiver:
1. hold one transmitter,
2. plug in one receiver to an outlet,
3. press the learn button on the receiver,
4. press the transmitter button,
5. repeat steps 3 and 4 until the receiver and transmitter are paired.
