"After reading this book, I had to download the other 2 in the series. The stories are so powerful and thrilling. I expected the series to be a boring romance story, but there is so much more to the stories than just that. I don't know the last time I stayed up late to read a book, but this series had me doing just that." ★★★★★ Slang93, USA
"This is my first book by Jordan Ford. I usually am not one to buy a thriller but I was intrigued by the description. This is absolutely a fast paced, thrill ride. I read it in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. There is so much going on, so many twists but the story is well written and flows well. Poor Christiana has gone through so much, I felt bad for her but once she gets together with smoking hot Trey I just wanted to see a happy ending for them. I ❤️ Their love story. This book will keep you reading from the first page til the last. I received an advanced readers cooy and I am happy to recommend this book, 5 big stars" ★★★★★ XO2read, Australia
"Whoa what a ride this was. From start to finish I was glued to the story, screen flipping as fast as I could read. After Miss Ford's Big Play series, I put her on my list of must-read authors. This fast paced, thrill ride was a testament to her dexterity with written words. An exciting, complex story that left you at the edge til the very end." ★★★★★ MegEclectic, USA
"If you are looking for a heart stopping, edge of your seat book, then look no further. I couldn't put this down. The twist and turns in this book had me wanting to read ahead to see what happens, but I didn't because I didn't want to miss anything. I can't wait to read the next Brotherhood book." ★★★★★ Kendal H., USA
"I was completely drawn into this book from the beginning. The characters are so well developed; I wanted to jump right in and protect Chris myself. I felt as if I was part of the book itself...it's that well written. It's definitely a must-read and worthy of a 5 star review!" ★★★★★ Book Lover Reviews, USA
From the Author
But he was right there. He was angry, steamed...irresistible as melted chocolate on a marshmallow.
Something about his eyes drew me in, took control of my senses and made me forget the fact I was in hiding.
And he kissed back.
His tongue was warm and commanding. I wanted to melt against him, feel his arms encase me. He could wipe it all away--my fear, my isolation. He could make it better.
But he can't! Because he can't know what I am.
I've never felt anything like it. I mean, I've made out with plenty of chicks, crushed on a few...lusted after many. But that shower kiss was intense. I wouldn't say no to a repeat. There's just something about her that makes me want more.
I'm not afraid of whatever she's hiding from.
AllI know is that I want to protect her.

It also bring this up that are a real issue that when you put young people together whether it is a mix school, an all boys school or an all girls school; you are always going to have a bully there in the mix. Someone that is such a coward, and insecure that they have to torment others to make themselves feel like they are someone.
In this story she is going by the name of Chris Landon and she is in protective custody or witnesses protection; or so they think. They have cut off her hair taken off her makeup and dressed her as a boy. Two agents have taken her to this boys school thinking that it will be the perfect place to hide her. They didn’t count on the school bully, nor did they count on her being found out by the guy next door Trey.
In the next room is Trey, Riley and Kade, they are three friends that have formed a bound. The family that they don’t have from their own. Will the three young men be able to keep Chris safe, or will they be forced to find ways to do that after they find out who she really is and why she was hiding out in the school. This is a great book I recommend this to anyone and everyone.
4 stars--would read again
3 stars--was good, won't read again
2 stars--read it, but didn't enjoy it
1 star--didn't finish, it was so awful
Christiana witnesses a murder, wants to testify, and is put into witness protection in a Wisconsin school for boys. Trey feels an instant connection to Chris, doesn't understand it.
The description of teenage boys being disgusting is spot on, and hilarious. Trey's questioning if he's gay is believable. Trey's motives are consistent with his history, but Chris's aren't. I love the wolf pack! The pace is consistent throughout and picks up serious speed at the climax. Overall, it's a good story.
Do I need to read books before this one: no
Would I read more of the series: maybe
Cliffhanger: not sure; they're happy and safe for now, but what about her resolve to get justice for Robbie? Do they know enough to survive?
Sex: kisses, nudity but not described
Language: 9 F words, 5 Lord's name in vain, 70 S words
Violence: murder by guns, kidnapping, bullying, beatings, memory of death by fire, torture, attempted murders by guns
Final bell rings. I love that sound. It’s my favorite one of the entire day.
Four days ago, I thought choices were a burden. Now I feel like I have none, and that’s even worse.
Safety is an illusion.
She jumped from Robbie's arms to Trey's pretty fast. Where's the grieving? The nightmares? The homesickness?
How does she handle feminine hygiene? Mood swings?
OMG, this book had so many layers of goodness!! I don't read a lot of romantic suspense...which is kind of weird, b/c I actually really enjoy it. I used to read the Harlequin line, but perhaps it's that I'm kind of picky and really need to get sucked in to this genre, so I guess I don't trust just anyone to give me what I want. Well Ms. Ford has definitely succeeded for me. It's not the whole believability aspect...because I think in romantic suspense you often have to suspend some of your disbelief. It's more that I want to *want* to suspend my disbelief if that makes sense. I want to read it like I'd watch a good action movie, and that's what happened for me in this book.
When I first saw the teaser video for this book, and learned about its premise, all I could think about was the movie She's the Man, and that made me excited (b/c I'm a fan). But while it may have a similar setting, the set up for this story is ENTIRELY different, and so has a very different feel. My heart was taken through the ringer at times with our characters. They all have some heartbreaking backstories, and the struggle that Chris goes through over what is the right thing to do, and having the strength to stick it out and do that right thing is very well executed. I will say that I was SUPER surprised with some of the twists to her side of the story! I did not see them coming, but I felt like they really added.
I occasionally wish we saw a bit more from Trey and his backstory...I'm not sure why, but it kind of came out of left field for me (even though I think I saw it in character profile teasers), and I just...wanted something more for some reason. I really loved Trey, but sometimes I felt like what we saw of him was mostly surrounding Chris and her storyline...but you know what? That's not even true. So I have no idea why I feel this way. Hmmm... Anyways, Trey was an intriguing character for me, b/c he had some very real Alpha tendencies, but he was really sweet and caring and protective too. I loved that he was drawn in by Chris, even when Chris was a "boy".
I really enjoyed the chemistry between Trey and Chris, though I think I had a hard time getting into the romantic part at the beginning...I was totally sucked in by their friendship chemistry, but it was hard to feel the passion for that first kiss (at least for me).
I LOVED the whole dynamic of the Brotherhood. I loved their friendship, and what they would do for each other.
I honestly had no idea how the other stories in this series were going to work, but then Ms. Ford just threw me for a freaking loop with that ending!! I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING! She went in a whole new direction from what my boring mind had predicted, and now I'm clamouring for more!! I also find it interesting that I still have some questions about certain aspects of Chris and Trey's story...so I'm curious to see if they come into play in the future.
So yeah, thoroughly enjoyed this one. Occasionally I wanted a bit more romance, but that's just because I'm a romance junkie and not because we didn't get enough. Sooooo looking forward to the next book and finding out what happens with Kade!!!
When I was reading the blurb for this novel I saw that it was part 1 of a series. I assumed, incorrectly after reading said blurb that that the rest of the series would focus on Chris and Trey. But it does not, instead the rest of the novels follow the rest of the "pack" that make up the group chris ingratiates into. The reason behind the 4 star rating is because there are massive holes that were not filled in. Here are the spoilers: Chris is found out as a woman by the entire group, Chris is supposed to testify and send her uncle to jail but that doesn't happen after she's shot by a man that was supposed to keep an eye on her, what happened to her bully Ivan? Not to mention the sister of the boyfriend that Chris saw shot to death. Dont get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed this but there's just too many holes for a full rating from me.

I knew this series would be a little different -more suspense - and it was so refreshing and thrilling.
I can't say I've read anything like this before.
There's still sports and romance and Jordan Ford's addictive writing – so the pages flew by and I was in love once again with Christiana and Trey and Riley and Kade ♡
The friendship between the boys was heartwarmingly, they're brothers by choice and their strong bond shows in every action.
Christiana – I admire her for her decision and endurance. Even though she thought about giving up a few times, you feel it's never really an option for her – she is such a strong girl. I just l♡ve her.
I can do this. I can survive this place. I'm not going to let these a***** beat me. I'll get some sleep in the safety of my locked up room and start the next day anew. Everything's going to be okay.
Aww and Trey – his confusion because of his reaction to Chris is simply adorable and sweet and funny – and I loved this part of the book especially ;)
I want to know why, but then I don't, because I'm not into Chris. I mean...I don't want to become friends with the guy...because I don't think he has a pretty face.
There were twists in „See no evil“ I wasn't expecting, the story drew me in within a few pages and there was enough love my romantic heart - Jordan Ford has me already hooked on this series, can't wait to find out what happens next in Kade's book. In the note in the back she wrote this story has been in her heart for a long time and I'm so very happy she could finally share it with us readers ♡
I believe in fate, you know? You were brought into my life for a reason.
I really loved it!!
It had action, suspense and sweet, affectionate love, and some hot and heavy make outs.
I loved the characters they were really interesting and original.
Christiana is strong and reluctant and does so well in her position. I loved her fight.
Trey is super hot and incredibly protective, shaping up to be a nice alpha character.
I was a little disappointed at the end as I needed more and I felt the story was unresolved for my liking, However I was extremely pleased to see that this is part of a trilogy and fingers crossed we get more.
The authors writing style and story telling is wonderful I felt fully entertained and enjoyed every minute.
All up I read this in one day it was so good I couldn’t put it down. I am so looking forward to the next two parts, I cannot wait.
