I enjoyed this read because it is one of those books that kept me planted right in my seat, book firmly in grasp, wanting to know what will happen to the heroes next. DaVaun's attention to details within the plot line kept my interest the entire time. The character dynamics (both good and bad characters) were well thought out, likable and each had a unique personality keeping the story line fresh. I enjoyed how Dayn was constantly challenged by both the good and evil elements within the story and how I was lead through the torrent, on the edge of my seat (I love me a good tug on the heartstrings), with action, emotions and consistency within the supporting roles.
The concept of the book is unique to me and I enjoyed how the world belt is similar to our reality, yet explores a fictional reality of peace challenged by a crewel enemy feared by all. There is much to be explained in the next book and I look forward to the third installment of The Seedbearing Prince!
Sanders takes his first and somehow improves on a near perfect story. Each character goes through a 'growth' period, this helps to bring them to life yet again; without growing the least bit stale. The most wonderful part of this story is the way in which Sanders describes the universe of the World Belt. Being an architect by trade Sanders aesthetic eye builds a vision of a real place floating through the 'torrent' of space.
