Editorial Reviews

Review

The approaches in the book are easy to comprehend and can be practiced by everyone to make changes in their perspective, remove barriers, and form a genuine connection through natural, heartfelt giving. It's a good book for parents as well as educators to understand children and their emotions better and raise a generation where the importance of communicating aptly is highlighted, and where the kids are taught to speak and listen in 'giraffe language.'
Mamta Madhavan, Readers' Favorite

The book was written out of great faith in the method and its benefits, and this is clear in each and every line and chapter. This book is a complete expression of Liat's desire to share, to guide and to impart her experience and the knowledge she has acquired, without calculations or expectations of recompense. I believe and am certain that every parent/educator, moderator and counselor who reads this book, will find simple and implementable tools which enable them to create and advance humane quality in all of life's environments.
Miri Shapiro, moderator for Nonviolent Communication in educational and health organizations and interest groups, part of the "Giraffe Language" program of the Education Skills program, Ministry of Education

More and more young children are discovering, through the special programs in the kindergartens, that it is possible to listen and talk from the heart, to express emotions and to understand the emotions of other children or adults, and to replace accusations and arguments with a clear expression of what I need and what I request from the other person. Boys and girls learn to speak and listen in "giraffe language", enjoy, have fun, express what is important to them seriously and practically, and reach realistic and conducive agreements. This book is warmly recommended to all parents, all kindergarten teachers, all teachers, to all educators and to every person who lives and works with people and is committed to a life of nonviolence and peace in the personal and communal space.
Hagit Lifshitz, M.A. a certified and veteran moderator in Nonviolent Communication

It is wonderful to see the principles of the nonviolent approach over and over again and to see to what extent using them reduces violence and even prevents it, and makes it possible to bring up a generation who know how to communicate and live differently. One courageous kindergarten teacher, who underwent the transformation, shares her experience, insights and methods with us, in a book which is written from the heart, and has the potential to touch many hearts.
Arnina Kashtan, founder of the Meitarim Center, a senior certified moderator in Nonviolent Communication
