Product Description

Red Noodle Bean-(Vigna unguiculata)-This bean is also called the Asparagus bean or Yard Long Bean. It is common in Southern China. The beans can grow to a length of 22 inches or more. But are best when harvested at about 12 inches. They are tender, stringless and sweet. Cut into small sections they make a welcome addition to any stir-fry dish. They are also good in soups, steamed and in stews. The red color fades when cooked. Tasty enough to get your kids to eat their veggies! The plants are very heat tolerant and grows very fast. To get good production they need to be trellised or staked. 80 days to maturity.

These are the fastest bean seeds ever! I had planted some yellow beans from a friend about a week and a half before I received these. I planted these, and they sprouted before the yellow beans ever showed. The first batch took about a week, but the second only took 4 days. One week later and they're approaching a foot tall with beautiful foliage and they appear to be leaning in to climb already. I'm excited to see what else they can do! I'm using them to cover a netted play house for my children in the backyard, and they look like they're made for the job.

These sprouted after a couple weeks with a good germ rate however getting them to climb is a lot harder than Kentucky Wonders. On the flip side there bean pods explode all over the place with abundant harvest. Did ok in moderate drought conditions with regular sprinkler watering.

Huge dissipointment. Perhaps it's where they were planted, but they didn't grow or produce. All we got were several twig like beans.
