Walker is a hot, sexy famous singer. One night while singing at his concert he spots Madison in the audience. Their relationship starts out on the wrong foot but it turns into something sweet and I loved where it went. They are both adorable. Without giving the story away, I will say there is a twist in the story that adds to its charm.
My only problem with the story is that I felt it was too short. I didn’t want it to end! I want to more about Walker and Madison’s story. I am definitely looking forward to reading Paige’s story in the next book in the series but I do hope we hear more about Walker and Madison too.

Spoilers -- The h is at the H's concert at the insistence of her best friend. He spots her in the crowd and gets her to go onto stage with him. It is sort of like Courtney Cox in the Bruce Springsteen video when he pulls her onto the stage. The H teases her and finds out her name and her line of work while she is on stage. He asks his bodyguard to get her number when she is leaving the concert. She refuses to give the bodyguard her phone number because the H is a player and she felt he was treating her like a groupie.
The H tracks her down at her place of work - talent agency- and leaves a lot of voicemails that she ignores. Her sleazy boss finds out that the H has been calling and knows that he is looking for an agent so he blackmails the h into going out with the H to get his business. She only goes out with him because she knows she would be blackballed in all of Los Angeles if she sued her boss.
I thought the story was pretty good up to here. Strong and kick-a** heroine, likeable and devoted hero and a fast paced story. After they go out, fight and make up...the relationship and story moves at warped speed. I wanted more relationship and character development before they jumped on each other's bones.
The H is super sweet and never forgot the h from his teenage years. He searched for her but without success after they parted 10 years ago. My one nit here is how does the h does not recognize the H when he was her first love? I would have also liked the H's pov.
Story could have been better if it were longer...but a recommend with 3+ stars.
Madison Meyers is a ball busting assistant to a talent agent trying to work her way up in the industry. I'm not normally fond of the stale and often times monotonous first person narrative but this one worked for me. I think it made me feel the story more intensely in all honesty. Upon being dragged to a concert with her best friend Keri is where she's pulled up on stage to have a moment with famous singer Walker Rhodes. From then on the story is woven into a whirlwind romance with some surprise elements between the main characters.
I don't typically fall for the "Man-whores" even if they are "reformed" but Walker stole my heart in chapter 7 with his honest vulnerability. Circumstances being what they were with him and seeing how things worked out between him and Madison just made him that much more lovable. He was a great guy all the way through.
It's a very quick read and the author goes deep into previous events in both Madison's and Walker's pasts but it's not dragging or oppressive in the least. It just added a sort of whimsical essence to their story. I'm really glad I loved this one from Sterling because the first book in her "Perfect Game" series didn't do much for me with her cheating hero so this was a VERY nice turn of events. A great couple, a really endearing story and just the right amount of sexy mixed in with the sweetness gave this one the push into a 5 star reading experience I couldn't wait to rave about. With how much I enjoyed this one I'm anxious to see if the second in this series is as good as this one.
Walker is a sweet guy...almost too sweet for a rocker. It is a light, easy, no angst read.

As far as more in depth story line, it's really lacking. Most of all, it just doesn't make sense to me.Read more
