Nice watch, keeps time very well, it is the second Seiko Kinetic watch I have owned, the first Seiko Kinetic I owned I wore for fifteen years; I passed it on to my Grandson when I purchased this one, I am not disappointed in the watch

I don't know about you, but I hate reviews that give a product five stars and the buyer has just unboxed it. Seriously? How can you responsibly rate something that is brand new and that you have not used on a variety of days beyond the 'new toy' phase. Well, if you share my sentiments, you will be pleased to hear that I have owned this watch for over a year. I wear it daily. I am constantly amazed at the timekeeping. Sadly I am often crossing time zones, so I can't say what the monthly deviation is, but I would be surprised if it was more than 20 seconds. I have a puny wrist and was very concerned that it would look daft on me, or worse (I look daft anyway you say) it would be unbalanced and drag around, or I would keep scrapping it. All those fears were unfounded. It is comfortable, balanced and actually the large diameter and weight is fine to live with. I wore it for a few months with the steel strap and then purchased a 'Swiss Ammo Strap' (look them up). I feel that has been a very cool personalisation, but look at the pics and decide for yourself. Having the lighter strap did not unbalance the overall 'carry' of the watch either. Other points: The 'lume' is exceptional, I follow the second hand when I wake up on a winter morning. The power estimator is cool. I enjoy the occasions when I hear the Kinetic mechanism working as I swing my arm, it is a little reminder of the amazing technology deployed in this watch. The date is a little hard to read. The bezel rotates with reassuring smooth and precise stiffness. I get compliments from both watch aficionados and others just impressed at the look. Reliability-wise, I got a happy thirteen years out of my last Seiko which I retired because I fancied a change and I fully expect that from this Seiko too. I have always fancied a Panerai Luminor, but now I don't know that I'll bother if the money ever comes my way.
