Time Tested Technology; Handsome Men's Styling
on June 17, 2017
For decades I have purchased and enjoyed Seiko watches while I have also owned Rolex, Timex, Casio and other time-keeping products. What I LIKE about this item is the JAPANESE quality Quartz movement and the Kinetic (wrist-motion) power source. I shopped hard for this purchase. In the recent past, I have 'blown it' on watches that use Lithium batteries that are now very hard to find for replacement power. I have had to change out a perfectly wonderful watch when batteries were no longer available. This 'back to basics' , battery-free technology led me to a purchase decision. People who are inclined to notice watches have commented on the black and gold styling and it suits me as well as Titanium or Stainless Steel. The connection between the band and the watch seems especially robust. I have had cheaper bands with spring bars that have sprung loose when I had a fall while travelling. Try finding a replacement when you don't speak the language. I still can not read the double digit date on this...but today we have cell phones and computers to check the details. All I want from a wrist watch is the time.
What is NOT to like: bars instead of clear Swiss-style numbers on the dial; a date window that is 'too small' compared to my Rolex Oyster. My older eyes can't read a double digit date in this unmagnified window anymore.
