It....actually looks better in real life. The description says "gunmetal-tone", but it's really closer to a shiny-black color. I've gotten more than a few of compliments.
Lumes are very very strong (glows brightly in the dark)
Solar is always a plus. No battery changes, no winding.
Can't beat Seiko.
The band is honestly not great. It has these grooves that grip the side of your wrist (why?) instead of the circumference of your wrist that are really hard to describe. You have to wear it understand what I mean. You do get used to it eventually, though.
The band is too long, and extends visibly past the far side of the wrist.
To be fair, it's possible these are features that help the user wear the watch while diving (perhaps wearing over a wetsuit?) but I'm no diver. I just like diver-styled watches.
4/5 overall. Great watch. Good value.
A compact, but still weighty piece which one would expect from both a diver's watch and this maker.
The three years manufacturers warranty adds to its appeal and hopefully will not be used - Time will tell!
Recommend this piece above other 200m watches currently available, battery, kinetic or solar. Of the many looked at, this one stood out from the crowd.
No batteries required, therefore no expensive bi-annual Seiko service fee (unlike the quartz and kinetic counterparts available from this maker).
A good buy methinks.
