Update: I measured my wrist and it is just about 7" around. See photos for how the watch looks on a 7" wrist.
The only gripe I have with this watch is the lack of luminosity. The hands, and the triangular marks at 12, 3, 6, and 9 are the only luminous characters. They also have to be exposed to decently-intense light for them to illuminate brightly. Other than that, it's a great product and I see myself wearing it for years to come!
- Great looking watch if you're into military-styled items.
- Nylon band is plenty strong and nicely made.
- Not the most luminous watch. Hard to tell the time in poorly lit areas.
I like the watch style, the 12, 3, 6 and 9 numerals are large, but not overly so, the other indicators are likewise, but are bold enough to make it easily readable. The numbers and indicators are NOT luminous, the only points that are is the hour and minute hands and the small triangles just outside the 12, 3, 6 and 9. The second hand is not luminous but looks really very unique. All hands are white, while the indicators are sort of a creme color, a very nice combination.
There are two things I don't like. The nylon band is too thin and is 22mm wide throughout, too wide for me plus it's really not even water resistant and will likely get funky from sweat and dirt, etc.I put one of my quality rubber straps on it and it looks great. The second thing is very minor, but it is the unnecessary little yellow triangle on the bezel above the 12.
If you want a military style watch that is reasonably priced with quality I would definitely recommend this one and as stated by the previous reviewer, if you can snag it for around $100, it's a GREAT deal without a doubt.
As mentioned, this watch is solar powered which eliminated the need to change the battery and practically maintenance free. It is also a quartz movement so you know the time is going to be accurate compared to mechanical watches. the Luminescence is also very bright and long lasting. Regardless of the specs, this watch is made by Seiko and you know what you get is a quality watch.
-Neutral color to fit with most straps fashionably
-Best of all, this watch is a Seiko!
-Crown is not a screw-in
-Need delicate hand to use the dial
-Luminescence is only on (12, 3, 6, 9, minute hand, and hour hand) hour marker.
