The reason for me buying this watch Is I currently have been using my trusty Seiko SQ sport 100. This watch has been on my wrist every day for 27 years and only for battery replacement has it ever stopped. I have never babied this piece in any way shape or form. Ware i go it has gone.
In water out of water in gas, mineral spirits Paint you name it. This thing has never stopped and it has always got me ware I need to be on time.
So I just thought it was time to buy a new watch for the heck of it this Seiko caught my eye and I took a chance.
It came very fast(Amazon prime) it was packaged great as all of my prime purchases have been.
I open the box since it was sitting on my door stoop in -17 for a few hours. Let it warm up set the date and time and let it go.
It is a very attractive piece heavy as in well made not some light weight junk.So far i'm very happy with my purchase. Like I stated above I will have to get it sized to my wrist. After a few months I will add more thoughts on the function of the watch.
If it last just 10 years I will be happy.
I don't baby this thing, I am a mechanic and I wear it to work. I recently banged it against a metal pole and it appeared I had damaged the black coating on my new watch. No. I hit it hard enough that I had to scrape off the silver paint that came from the pole, but the watch was still black underneath. Tough Coating!
I love it!
One buyer beware: It does not come with the Seiko warranty, but Amazon does warrant the watch for two years. I don't expect any problems though.
