I am not satisfied with the watch.
I thought the crystal had a date but it does not.
The band is very cheap. I was going to exchange it but did not wish to encounter a cost for shipping and return fees.
while browsing for a suitable watch for myself ( im a 27y/o engineer) i was unpleasantly surprised by many of the watches that i foud out there on the market. I too consider the watch to be a fashion element not only a time displaying device. but out there there are many watches that take that to extreme: huge, super shiny or with the freakiest design that you can think of. And that is good as this shows that we, as humans, are very diverse if all those watches find a buyer. Then the other thing which is good out there is that there are watches for as high as $5000 in a regular shop. that gives me a feeling of safeness thinking that if i become dead rich then for sure i can spend the money on something which now seems like a more then crazy/stupid idea: a 5000 euro watch.
All in all, you got my point: i wanted a good watch, decently priced, fashionable but not striking. So i was really well impressed with this Seiko, it is very elegant and discrete. i love the square shape that gives it a special look and the fact that is has no gold plating or stuff like that. high quality leather strap with high quality glass that i didnt manage to scratch yet.
Functionality wise is exactly what you need: time + date, easy to read, no extra useless gadgets on the screen ( i will wonder for as long as i live what is the use of a cronograph watch for 99,99% of the people who wear one). And of course it keep the time perfectly ( or at least for my standards it does. if in 10 years will be 5 min late... well i can adjust it:)
And all these features come for like $80!!!! fantastic. great job by Seiko and I'm really sad that u think this model has been discontinued by Seiko as you cannot find it on their webpage anymore.Read more ›
