I wouldn't have bought it if I could have seen it with my own eyes and touched it with my own hands before purchasing.
If you just want to 'build' a partscaster I would get a pawnshop Squier and overhaul it. If you want to build the guitar of your dreams, save your money and invest in exactly what you want instead of trying to cheap out and make it be something it's not.
If you want to do a project or something with your kid for fun and end up with a neat TOY, then this would be fine for you.
P.S. did NOT come with instructions or wiring diagram of any kind.
