About Selena Sage
Selena Sage is an author of inspiring books, owner of ZenTao Books publishing, inspirational speaker, podcast host of "Live Free with Selena Sage," and facilitator of "Instantly Zen" events (instantlyzen.com).
Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Selena graduated from the LBJ Science Academy, and then went on to graduate from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL from the Honors Program of Engineering and Management, with degrees in Industrial Engineering and Business. Following that, Selena worked as a corporate executive at companies, including Motorola and Google, for many years in a variety of business roles.
Lifelong spiritual seeking led Sage to Taoism and Zen, and both evoked a powerful shift in her life. After discovering great peace, she decided to use writing as a vehicle to help others recognize our true nature as peace itself.
Sage wrote her first book, "Meditative Questions" while traveling around Asia in March of 2015. Based on journal writings from Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Bali, "Meditative Questions" is beautiful, approachable, and thought-provoking. The colors provide a full sensory experience while the questions are transformative.
Sage wrote her second book, "unbreakable"--a reflective book of short poems-- after living on a Muay Thai Camp in Thailand for a month in 2016. The poems serve as a vehicle to question every thought and every thing. The path is letting go, and the destination is freedom.
In keeping with the theme of freedom, Sage's third book, "Get Free: 7 Simple Steps to Free Your Mind & Live Your Dreams," is a guide to help others determine what they want and chart a path to get there. With brief stories from her own life + practical exercises, Get Free is easy to digest, and life-changing if care is given to the exercises.
Selena Sage lives between California and Cabo Verde, Africa. She is a strong advocate for children, equality, and peace.
