For me Richard demystified the whole Hypnosis process and allowed me a vehicle that I can use to alter those self-defeating subconscious programs that secretly run my life. I love his uncomplicated language with lots of real-life examples and I especially appreciate his extensive use of ready-made scripts that you can use RIGHT NOW. (((( I found that just reading the scripts immediatley started to put me into a relaxed state that felt so comfortable. ))))
I also found that while reading this book my mind was being drawn to my 3 teenage children who are facing many choices in life with peer pressures, school pressures and life decision pressures. For some reason I felt that this book helped me to feel more understanding of how their life is affected by these constant exposures. I will be giving them this book to read as I think it can really help them understand themselves and their world better.
I feel that this book should be read by every parent and by anyone who is serious about living their life by design instead of by default. If you are willing to do the simple tasks it presents then you too can have the life of your dreams.
Great work Richard, I love it!
Those who have some experience with NLP will note the use of the Swish Pattern in the phobias section. Buy it, use it, and experience the difference a better life can make...

First, it doesn't just have the usual slimming, phobias, confidence, and smoking. It also tells you how to hypnotise yourself to go after your own goals more effectively.
Second, I found it easy to read and follow. No fancy words or complicated instructions. You just read the book, choose your problem, and do what it says.
I've read other self-hypnosis books, and this has to be the easiest to read, understand and actually do. I found it easy to apply the work to myself and actually get results.
What a lovely little book filled with golden nuggets of advice. The chapter on making your own hypnosis tapes is very good with instructions for making your own tapes ranging from smoking to public speaking.
The book ends with a good brief history on hypnosis.
All in all this book is well worth the money and if the simple instructions are followed the reader will achieve successful results. As a hypnotist of 14 years I found the book full of reminders.
As with most things in life mastering the basics is the key to a wonderful existence.
There is golden nuggets in this book.
