"Spend your money instead on things that can help you grow as a person or improving your business."
I am currently working of manifesting one of my large goals and am taking action by purchasing lottery tickets every week. I am yet to hit the jackpot but I am thinking that maybe I should be using this money to invest in my business (I publish ebooks on Kindle). I told myself I need a sign that I should discontinue purchasing lottery tickets and this book has given me the sign!
"True success is working towards a higher purpose, more than just personal monetary gain. You should be aiming for success with family."
Family time is so important. I spend alot of my time working on my business and I know sometimes I neglect my husband so I make an extra effort to spend quality time with him.
"Get rid of things that trigger the bad habits. If you can't resist a cigarette when you go to bars, then don't go to any."
This rule goes for all additions, it is recommended that an addict refrain from associated from places even people who are involved in the acts that you were previously involved and are currently trying to stay away from. This can also mean your friends, it can be a tough task but it has to be done to be successful in staying away from your addictive habit.
Personally for me I stay away from bars and clubs unless I am going with my husband. If I go alone, many or most times I am confronted by the opposite sex and many times in the past I got myself in trouble!!!
"Once you decide to train your mind to manifest positive thinking, it becomes your mental attitude."
Since I have become aware of positive thinking, I now know how to adapt from thinking negative to positive thoughts. Some days when I am really 'down', this task can be difficult but I eventually succeed in changing my mind set.
I love his concepts and I live by most of them. Like the things that he said about getting rid of bad habits. That's exactly how you are supposed to act. When i quit sugar, I stopped buying sugar altogether. When there was no sugar in my house, there was no need to worry about eating sugar. Same thing happened to me with alcohol and cigarettes. I stopped buying them. I stopped going to a bar. There was also a time when I stopped withdrawing money from the ATM to control my expenditure.
It's a brilliant book for the masses. It deserves a 5/5.
