I have tried selfie sticks before but they have been cumbersome/unstable and the trigger mechanisms were subpar at best. I ended up throwing my last one in the trash while on vacation. With another vacation coming up, I thought I would try again. The things that drew me to this stick (in addition to already positive reviews) were 1) the fact that it could be a tripod as well and 2) the removable Bluetooth remote shutter button. It was also very reasonably priced.
It arrived quickly and in good condition. The clicker already had a battery installed (pull the plastic out) and it took just a few seconds to pair with the Bluetooth on my phone. The part that holds the phone has good grips and enough of a spring to hold it securely. It also has multiple angles so that I can adjust the field. The stick telescopes out to about 3 feet, which is plenty of length to capture the picture.
The bonus with this device is that it also functions as a tripod. You just open up the back end of the handle, lock it in place, attach and aim your phone, and then go jump in the picture (take the clicker with you). I am really looking forward to taking this on my next trip. Five stars.

Plastic mount will break over time

I bought the previous version of this product and used it a few times. To be fair, it is not a bad product given the cost. However, given that the hold is mostly plastic, it will break sooner or later. This may not be a big deal unless you are in the middle of a shooting session. In retrospect, I would have spent a bit more for metal construction options.
