"You see, we often project out of our own autobiographies of what we think people want. We sometimes measure the emotional deposits based on what we think others need."
I do this so often in my business and just haven't been aware. This really got me thinking about how I perceive others and what I can do to not project myself on to them.
Lots of great stuff in this book just like that... Love it!
It's clear from the numerous case studies throughout the book that if you are in sales, if you like golf, and if you're not afraid to mix the two, then you have no choice but to buy this book read it, mark it up, and apply every tip, tactic, and technique this book has to offer.
But here's the point ... you don't have to be a scratch golfer to make the game a valuable part of your business. Golf is about getting to know your clients. Learning about their needs. This book gives examples and stories of how business professionals from all different industries use golf to create a more personal connection. If you're looking for slick sales techniques, you won't find it here. This is about building solid long lasting relationships with your clients.
