Selling Made Simple: How Avoid Sounding Pathetic During a Sales Call
I began my sales career in 1965 and I have been making my living in and around the selling profession ever since. For the past 26 years, I have been a professional sales trainer, so I believe it's reasonable to believe that I know a thing or two about sales.
When I placed my order for Jim Meisenheimer's new eBook, Selling Made Simple: How to Avoid Sounding Pathetic During a Sales Call, I expected to pick up a few good ideas because every book I've read by Meisenheimer has been eye-opening and boosted my understanding of sales. This little eBook, however, certainly exceeded my expectations.
In Selling Made Simple Meisenheimer identifies 32 "pathetic" phrases that when used in a sales presentation, separate the amateurs from the professionals. I would like to say I'm not guilty of using any of these "pathetic" phrases, but that would not be true. Even though I've spent hundreds of hours studying the finer points of sales, several of these "pathetic" phrases hit me spot on.
Some are just plain bad habits we all develop from time to time. Saying things like, "How did we look on the quote I sent you?" Meisenheimer recommends using the words, "What was your reaction to the sales proposal I sent you last Thursday?" He's so right!
As Meisenheimer says, "WORDS are the ultimate sales tool for entrepreneurs and professional salespeople."
I can guarantee you this: no matter how long you've been selling, you'll learn a lot about the words to use and the words not to use from reading this eBook.

The only problem with the book is the title. “Selling Made Simple” is too broad for the content, but the subtitle works.
I’d suggest renaming the book along the lines of: How to Avoid Sounding Pathetic During a Sales Call: 32 Phrases to Avoid.
