The stapler drives the one inch staples with ease and allows for depth control - nice feature.
The stapler has dual shooting capability - place gun, pull trigger; or hold trigger and bump gun against wood. Both features are nice, especially when rapidly placing staples.
We have had numerous occasions in which the gun fired multiple times when we were attempting to precisely place one staple. The gun would fire on trigger pull, and then if not held against the wood hard enough, the recoil would cause the gun to bounce driving another staple, and sometimes two or three if we did not catch it fast enough. It would be nice if the bump fire could be temporarily inhibited for these situations. Other than that, I have no issues to date, and would purchase again.
I went to the hardware store and purchased to Hitachai's and had no problems with them.
Dont wast your time or money with these!
As a recon unit, the SNS41 comes as a bare tool only, with standard paperwork, definitely not a retail package.
Even though a new SNS41 comes with a 30-day return, I am going to treat this as qualified for a reconditioned purchase entitled to a 60-day return privilege. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but will do so shortly. If it works as new, I will keep it. We'll see.
UPDATE: Have used this stapler for a while now. Does jam, probably once per line of staples, Otherwise, drives them well. Seems that adding an extra line of staples before the first one finishes may cause problems, as I've noticed the back line tends to lift up a bit and has to be pressed down periodically to align with the tops of the front line.
