I bought these instead of more Hue bulbs after I received one free with the purchase of the newest echo dot. That one worked just fine and they are way cheaper than the Hue bulbs.
I guess maybe these guys like to work alone? I'm not sure. I put all four into the same fixture. I used the Alexa app for setup and at first it only found two bulbs. Tried discovery again, found a third one. Tried a few more times and never found the fourth. Tried different settings and the third refuses to sync with the first two. All three of them never share the same status. The late one doesn't seem to work with the app at all, even though it shows up.
The best part? My original bulb, which is in my living room, is now a ghost. I can't find it anywhere in the alexa app, it no longer responds to the alexa routine I set up, but will respond to commands addressing the master bedroom... (my master bedroom lamp, which is a Hue bulb is also a ghost in alexa, I can only control it in the hue app, also happened with the addition of these bulbs)
I consider myself fairly good at troubleshooting. Once I got frustrated trying to fix the problems in Alexa, I decided the logical next step was to download the Sengled app. I didn't do this with the first bulb because I didn't need to and I have enough different smart device apps. (that's another reason I chose these bulbs) anyway, I download the app, put in my email to make an account, and it asks for a verification code. Trouble is I haven't gotten an email. I have resent the code numerous times, checked other folders, refreshed, checked again, ad nauseum.
At this point I'm over it and have started a return. Next up is fixing my Hue bulb. I haven't decided if I'll try to fix the single original Sengled bulb or just replace it too.
