I purchased a set of PC 350's from Amazon a while back and loved them. Great fit, great sound. I travel a lot for work and take these along with my gaming laptop to play games on the road. After one trip, I got home to find my PC 350's had broke in my luggage. I called Sennheiser about a repair. They had me ship them in and it cost me $70 to repair. After I sent them in I decided to buy a Razer headset to hold me over until my PC 350's arrived. I bought the Razer - Carcharias headset, brought it home and the next day took it back. It had the most terrible sound quality compared to the PC 350. I then got the Razer - Tiamat Expert 2.2. This had much better sound quality but still wasn't even close to the PC 350. A couple weeks later a package arrived from Sennheiser. Much to my amazement when I opened the package expecting to see my repaired headset, I saw a brand new Sennheiser PC 350 SE headset! That's right, they gave me a free upgrade to a brand new headset! Talk about a great company!!

So here are my pros and cons...

Pros:
1. Great sound quality! Awesome base!! Best sound from any headset I've ever had (and I've had a ton). Perfect for directional sound in FPS. I get called a hacker all the time because I can hear footsteps coming and which direction they are coming from before even seeing the person. I game with music lots of time, great music quality.

2. Comfort A+++++++++++++++ The over the ear design it great, I can wear these things for hours. The other the head strap is so soft you don't even know it's there.

3. The mic is awesome! Pull it down to unmute, rotate it up to mute. You here a small "click" so you know when the mute/unmute takes place.

4. The cord design is far better than the original PC 350's.

They lacked bass for me when I first plugged them in. That's the biggest complaint you'll hear when researching these headphones, but that was UNTIL I played around the Eq in my Sound Blaster Z software. I unchecked (yes, unchecked) the Bass option, left Crystalizer a it's default value, and the SBX surround at 10%, then increased the first 3 equalizer sliders starting from the left, each to a bit over half way, and now they literally rattle on my head. The bass is now insane, powerful and clear.

I cannot believe how good it was after reading so much about the bass issue with these. I went ahead and still got them because I had a good sound card and these were on sale for $144. I am glad I made the purchase. 3D positional sound is very very good. I can tell where each shot is coming from in BF4, Insurgency and Breaking Point, which is mostly what I play at the moment. It's amazing how you can just slowly slide your mouse and listen to the shot coming from the appropriate angle as you turn.

Music sounds incredible as well. With the equalizer adjusted as I mentioned before, the bass will blow you away. It was very clear and sounded really good when I first got it, so the bass was the only thing I needed to adjust.

Buying these without a very good sound card or amp is a waste of money. Keep that in mind before you go plugging this into your MoBo's onboard sound, then complaining that it sounds like crap.

These are very comfortable. They have a nice long cord that is wrapped- which is awesome because I have had trouble with my cords getting frayed and this really helps extend their life! The microphone works great - I use mine MOSTLY for dictation with Dragon software, but also use them for gaming.
They have conventional plugs - not usb- that go into your audio out and your mike in. I have used them with a usb adapter with my PS3 too.
Love how easy it is to adjust the volume with the little rotating button on the right ear.
These are comfortable even at long sessions writing or gaming. They come with a really nice case in case you need to be mobile with them. The case itself is well made and not bulky.
I own several pair of high end headphones and Sennheiser continues to be my favorite. When I got my first pair, I thought that they might not last because the materials are fairly lightweight, but I've not destroyed a pair yet, even though I've dropped them between my headboard and mattress, off the side of the bed, my cat has tried to eat them...they seem pretty indestructible.
Sound quality is excellent and the volume range is good - they go up loud enough to satisfy but I not so loud I worry about them being too loud if I turn the button all the way. Bass response is great in the games- handles the explosions very clearly and well.

Great noise reduction and the mic is good at isolating sound. I am able to dictate and the mike picks up words EVEN when there is a gaming session going on in the house that I'm not involved in.
When you want to quit using the mike, you just push it up and it cuts off.
I love these. :)
Update 7/22/2015 These continue to be my favorite everyday headphones, and perform well. I love them. I've used the mike extensively too for a project that involved programming for voice automation. It's really clear and allowed me to easily record tons of useable samples.

Brilliant. I am overusing the headset. I'm a headset snob. I love my Sony and Bose noise reduction headsets -- but they don't have a microphone. I love my Samsung earbuds, but they provide basic audio and microphone functions.
This headset, with two 3.5mm jacks, one for stereo audio and one for the microphone work brilliantly. I use them to listen to music as I am on my computer. When I lower the microphone arm, the microphone turns on. The microphone is a true noise reduction microphone. It picks up audio immediately in front of the microphone and seems to do an amazing job of ignoring ambient noise. I didn't think it would, but I noticed that as I was recording audio, the background noise couldn't be heard. I tested this by leaving the headset on the desk as I walked around and talked. None of this test audio was picked up.
The first week I had these I had a week long road trip and couldn't resist taking them along. I used them with an adapter to connect to my cellphone. Along with getting great audio in my headset, the people that I spoke with while driving could hear my voice but not the road noise. I use them with Dragon for speech-to-text applications and they seem to work better than any other microphone. I think this is likely due to noise rejection, and it's hard to tell for sure, but it sure seems that way.
I could keep nerding-on for a while, but I'll wrap up by saying that I think they were a good value in general and I am pleased with the audio performance and very impressed by noise-reduction microphone.
