I really wanted to love these earbuds...because I have a high opinion of Sennheiser, in general. So, you can imagine my disappointment in the absolute garbage Bluetooth connectivity of these buds.
I connected them to my Apple iPhone and they just randomly drop the connection. One minute they work, next the connection is broken and the phone call I'm on transfers to the handset...super annoying.
It really unfortunate that the connection is so inconsistent and random. It's obvious there is a Bluetooth issue because during music playback I could hear the connection faltering and struggling. The phone was literally 18 inches from the buds...and the connection was choppy and inconsistent.
Needless to say, these earbuds really hurt my opinion of Sennheiser and their reputation in my mind. I'll try the VERSION 3 when they come out, but I am not optimistic.
RETURNED THESE after a few days of poor quality and inconsistent connectivity.
On the POSITIVE side, the noise-canceling seems to work very well. But, what good is that if they fail in their basic function of wireless connection?

💢 Que ganas tenia de tener estos auriculares. Sennheiser es mi marca fetiche, y tras tener los Momentum Wireless 2 no quede plenamente satisfecho y quería resarcirme, o al menos intentarlo.
Con estos me ha pasado algo parecido, son luces y sombras, me han dejado frío al principio.
Sin embargo luego han conseguido enamorarme. Pero por eso, porque el amor no es objetivo.
En cuanto a calidad y fidelidad de audio, son los mejores que he probado (y mira que te tengo más de los que puedo recordar....)
Soy poseedor de muchos de los mejores true wireless del mercado para mi; los Sony WF-1000 XM3, Jabra elite active 75 y estos Momentum TW2 entre otros, así que tenía ganas de compararlos, luego ya si eso os leéis el tocho que os he escrito con todas mis experiencias.
En noviembre de 2020 adquirí los Bose QuietConfort NC Earbuds, asi que os los añado.

- ✔️ ANC. La cancelación de ruido de referencia, sin duda, la mejor que he probado. Impresionante.
- ✔️ Calidad de audio. Pierden claramente con los Sennheiser, aún siendo excelente, sobre todo en notas agudas. Pero se siente que pueden ofrecer más, están demasiado poco potenciados por un pobre software...no se pueden ecualizar!!
- ✔️ Construcción y calidad de materiales
- ✔️ Ajuste y firmeza en la succión. Cómodos en el uso; los más cómodos. Eso hay que reconocérselo a BOSE, es difícil hacer un auricular tan grande y a la vez tan ligero al uso, es comodisimo. Ademas del excelente aislamiento pasivo que ofrecen
⬇️Contras:
- ❌La sensación general es que están por debajo de la competencia, no ofrecen nada salvo el excelente ANC. Pero eso si, con carencias graves en la experiencia de usuario que los hacen estar claramente por debajo.
- ❌ Precio. Desorbitado frente a la competencia y por lo que que ofrecen a día de hoy. Espero que con futuras actualizaciones lo solucionen como hacen el resto de marcas.
- ❌ Poca escena musical, solo hay una clara diferenciación en las frecuencias medias.
- ❌ Graves débiles.
- ❌ No se pueden ecualizar. En serio? 270 euros y no los puedo ecualizar? Imperdonable.
- ❌ Poca funcionalidad en el uso. Ser un auricular tan grande, táctil, y a este precio y que solo puedas realizar una acción por cada auricular? Como ejemplo, no puedes subir o bajar el volumen, inconcebible. Da la sensación haber sacado al mercado un producto inmaduro.
- ❌ Tamaño grandísimo, tanto de los auriculares como de la caja, sobretodo esta última es desproporcionada.
- ❌ La caja de carga es tremendamente grande e incómoda se llevar encima. Y por si fuera poco, solo puedes recargarlos dos veces con ella.
¿Cuáles son los puntos fuertes de cada unos? 🤔🤔🤔
🥉 Jabra es el mejor en conectividad, el único multidispositivo, hasta 3 a la vez sin tener que intercambiarlos, el único.

Desde Octubre de 2020 cuentan con ANC agregada por actualización de software, excelente por cierto, lo ha convertido en una de las mejores opciones en TW con ANC
🥇 Sony vence claramente en software, precio (ahora están a 185 euros!!!), audio de calidad para un público más amplio y ANC de verdad.
🥇 Sennheiser es el mejor en fidelidad de audio, diseño y calidad de materiales. Para mi, el mejor, son mis preferidos de largo (y mas al precio que están en noviembre de 2020)
🥉Bose, solo destaca en la cancelación de ruido activa, el mejor de todos sin duda, pero nada mas. La experiencia de usuario y la funcionalidad dejan mucho que desear.

⚙️ DISEÑO Y CONSTRUCCIÓN ⚙️
Uno de sus puntos fuertes.
La caja es un poco grande, entre lo exagerado de Sony y lo minimalista de Jabra. Eso si, la más bonita y elegante de largo. El acabado en tela parecido al vaquero pero en gris es preciosa, elegantísima y resistente a la suciedad. Un gran acierto de diseño.
El cierre y acople de los auriculares es metálico, y muy potente, no se abre ni se mueven.
Se carga por usb-c y tiene un pequeño botón posterior para testear el nivel de carga con un led (verde naranja o rojo)
El diseño de los auriculares es más minimalista y bonito para mi gusto que los Sony, muchísimo más discretos, hace que no se muevan absolutamente nada, son muy cómodos, Me he dado sesiones largas de manera muy cómoda.
El modelo negro que tengo yo me ha gustado. Se ve de calidad y apariencia premium. Pese al ser el cuerpo de plastico, el gran botón táctil en aluminio con diseño en círculos y el logo de la marca le dan un aspecto regio.
En este aspecto, ganan de largo a la competencia.
El diseño es como el de los Jabra, pero más grandes y menos anatómicos.
Son más grandes que los Jabra, ventaja, no se me caen tanto, inconveniente, menos cómodos y menos aislantes pasivos.
Cuentan con certificación de impermeabilidad anti salpicaduras IPX4, un poco por debajo de Jabra, pero algo que no tiene Sony.
🎶🎶🎶 SONIDO 🎶🎶🎶
Estos auriculares ofrecen el clásico sonido plano y rico en matices de Sennheiser, para un público más selectivo , casi más orientado a monitorear frecuencias o instrumentos que al público en general. Y estamos hablando de bluetooth, creo que habrá más público en el segundo segmento.
Cuesta acostumbrarse a Sennheiser después de pasar por Sony, es otro royo. Más audiofilo y plano. La ecualizacion de la app no ayuda nada, al contrario.
Eso si, en cuanto le coges el punto vas a disfrutar redescubriendo canciones.
Están dotados de todos los codecs de descodificación de audio, incluido los Qualcomm aptX.
🔵 Destaca la sensación de orden y presencia en todas las frecuencias, esto hace que la audición sea cómodo en uso prolongado. Con Sony me ha pasado que a veces cansan demasiado, por los graves. Con estos es más difícil que te pase.
🔵 Los bajos son suaves, incluso demasiado (usando a diario un Sony se nota más) y además si los incrementas un poco a volumen medio alto según que canciones me han sonado demasido fuertes y descentrados, muy separados en cada auricular. Es su mayor pega en cuanto al
sonido.
🔵 Es su agradable redescubrir canciones por sus tonalidades en los medios, increíblemente definidos.
Música vocal, clásica o de los tecno 80’remasterizado. Para el rock clásico también son muy adecuados, pero con lo vas a disfrutar es con la música filarmónica clásica, se reconoce cada instrumento en su tonalidad y localización, excelentes.
🔵 Los agudos están a la altura del resto, excelentes, siempre presentes, reconocibles y sin el más mínimo brillo metálico o estridencia por más que subas el volumen.
🔵 La escena musical es tremendamente ordenada y reconocible, ayudada por los excelentes medios sin duda. Pero en amplitud los Sony no tienen rival, suenan de otra manera con el 3D.

👁🗨👁🗨 EXPERIENCIA DE USUARIO 👁🗨👁🗨
El uso de los botones es el más intuitivo de todos, como Jabra pero más amplio y aún así fácil de recordar y usar.
El táctil es muy muy preciso.
Puedes programar los botones con las funciones que quieras (ademas de las predeterminadas de recepción de llamada.
En este sentido me han gustado más que los Sony, se pueden poner de manera más intuitiva para el uso.
Los comandos son:
- volumen
- Inicio/pausa reproducción
- Heart trough
- ANC
No me gusta que al activar ANC no diga con voz en que estado queda.
La reproducción se detiene al quitártelos. Funciona perfectamente, siempre la detiene, da igual la app que uses. Esto con Sony o Jabra falla mucho, estos son perfectos.
Los comandos audibles son escasos, y solo en Ingles.
En cuanto al uso, la pega que les pongo es la poca variedad de típs que traen, no me han acabado de ajustar. Viene con los medios, y me los noto en el oído derecho demasido holgado, pero es que el siguiente, el grande, es tremendo, mal.
Son cómodos al uso, no molestan al llevarlos mucho tiempo. Y al tener la forma redonda y anatómica se pueden usar con viento por la calle, cosa que es muy incómoda con los Sony, ya que su forma alargada hacia delante hace que el aire haya turbulencias audible, y otra cosa, pero en mi ciudad es donde se fabrica el viento.
El ANC al ser más tenue también hace que sean más cómodos, no hacen efecto pecera ni embotan, como he llegado a sentir a veces con los Sony.
Las llamadas se oyen perfectamente de modo binaural, y el interlocutor te escucha perfectamente, no me han hecho la típica pregunta de “donde estas?”, eso es que me oyen bien.
🤫 CANCELACIÓN DE RUIDO ANC 🤫
Este es su gran defecto a mi entender, es lo que debería justificar el precio, y no lo hace para nada.
La Cancelación de ruido pasiva muy mala, no se puede mejorar por los tips que trae (Sony tiene hasta de espuma, que a estos le vendrían de lujo).
La activa, puede llegar a ser imperceptible, así de franco y triste. Hasta he llegado a pensar que podía ser un fallo de mi unidad... los resetee y todo.
El problema es que es adaptativa y solo elimina las bajas frecuencias, ellos solos la regulan, en casa ni lo notarás, en la calle si se nota.
Eso si, al ser más débil no existe el incómodo efecto pecera ni ruidos blancos.
Esta ANC no está justificada a este precio. Es el punto que decanta la balanza por Sony claramente, cuestan actualmente casi la mitad, ofreciendo el doble en tecnología y software a igual calidad de audio (o mejor si se potencia por software).
En este sentido Sony ofrece un ANC no solo efectivo, sino totalmente configurable.
El modo hearth trough si que funciona perfectamente, a la altura de la competencia.
🔋🔋 BATERÍA 🔋🔋
Me ha durado más de 5 horas a volumen medio alto con ANC activado.
La caja ofrece otras 3 recargas completas, en total 21 h según especificación del fabricante.
Se recarga por usb C
La batería del móvil sufre poco ya que para el uso de la app hace un segundo enlace bluetooth tipo LE, de bajo consumo .
📱APLICACION MOVIL 📱
La app es malísima, no está justificado que un fabricante de audio de este nivel tenga esta app, lastra grandes productos de audio por bluetooth como este y los Momentum 2.
La ecualizacion es demencial, con un botón central que desplazas por la pantalla haciendo el un sinusoide con las frecuencias que tú no puedes modificar.... En serio Senhenneiser, esto es lo mejor que podéis hacer??? Tanto os cuesta poner un ecualizador de toda la vida, con 5, 7 o puestos a pedir 9 vías.
Sinceramente, con este fallo en la ecualizacion y el ANC os habéis cargado un producto redondo.
El resto de la app es sosa, eso si, está en castellano, pero ni la presencia ni la funciones que ofrece están a la altura de lo que has pagado por los auriculares.
Sony tiene audio 3D con Tidal y una app completisima, la potencia del software, donde falla este.
IMPORTANTÍSIMO ACTUALIZAR NADA MÁS ESTRENARLOS, sino no tienen la función de modificar los botones ni la función ANC
🔗🔗 CONECTIVIDAD🔗🔗
Conectividad a este precio, me esperaba al menos multidispositivo. Es decir que se conecte automáticamente a dos o más dispositivos y que tu no tengas que intercambiarlos, solo detener la reproducción en uno e iniciarla en el otro.
Esto solo lo tiene Jabra, hubiera sido un puntazo frente a Sony.
En cuanto a la presencia de micro cortes, ninguno, no he sufrido el más mínimo corte o interferencia durante su uso, ni en casa ni en calle, en este sentido perfecto.
💸💸 PRECIO 💸💸
Antes era desorbitado frente a la competencia (yo los compre a 300 euros), pero lo han actualizado a 230 euros siendo tremendamente competitivos, más cuando ahora están los Sony a 185 euros (la típico política de Sony de tirar los precios antes del año).
🏆🏆 El resumen, son una maravilla audiofila, mis preferidos de largo.
Más aun con la bajada de precio que han sufrido y tras probar las novedades de la competencia (BOSE) que no aportan nada nuevo.
Son para un público más selecto, con un paladar más fino, este es su auricular true wireless, el de mejor calidad de audio.
💢 AGOSTO 2020 💢
Por fin Sennheiser ha tenido a bien implementar en su app el ecualizador por vías!!!! Pero solo 3 vías, algo es algo.
Aun así no todo es felicidad en esta app, ahora no hay manera de guardar tus ecualizaciones personalizadas, solo 1, o al menos yo no soy capaz de encontrar las que voy guardando, salvo la última... espero que lo arreglen.

La firma en la última actualización de los auriculares ha mejorado mucho la conectividad bluetooth
Ahora el cambio entre dispositivos es más rápido. No hace falta desconectar uno para poder conectar el otro. Simplemente con conectar el segundo se desconecta el primero. No es multidispositivo, pero se nota la mejora.
La ecualizacion, siguen sin arreglarla.

La bajada. deprecio a 230 euros los hace ser los mas competitivos en calidad precio a día de hoy. Y mas después de tener las actualizaciones de la competencia (BOSE QC NC) que no aportan ninguna mejora en el campo de la calidad de audio ni experiencia de usuario.

Just received my pair today and so far I really like them.
They are smaller than the previous version including the case. It’s not a huge difference but you’ll still notice it. The previous pair used to hurt my ears after a while (1h or so) so I’m hoping this smaller design will help, time will tell. First impressions so far, they are comfier than the original version.
Sound-wise, they are excellent. I’ve seen some videos where people suggest these sound different. I don’t think so. I think they might have changed the EQ setting by default because it felt like it was lacking bass a little but I tweaked it differently on the app than the 1st Gen and still managed to achieve the exact same sound. I’ve spent some time comparing the sound between the 2 and I love the 2nd Gen as much as the 1st Gen and I’m a musician so I’m really picky when it comes to sound.
Call quality has been greatly improved, I think mainly due to the new added microphones.
One feature I really like, surprisingly not mentioned on this page is Sidetone. It gives you the ability to hear your voice during a call. I’ve tested it and love it, so much better than the old version.
The possibility the customise controls is one of the reasons why I decided to buy this new version. I’m one of these guys that can listen to a song on repeat so much if I really like it. So having to tap 3 times to play the previous song on the old version used to drive me mad. It wouldn’t work 50% of the time. I’ve now set it on 2 taps on the right earbud and it works like charm. Shame the controls still take about 2 seconds to initiate. I would have liked that to be improved on the new version.
Active Noise Cancellation is a great addition too, I think it’s good in loud environments but for people like me that listen to music quite loud (70-90%) it’s less useful. I’m going to leave it turned off as it can drain the battery faster and turn it on only if I need it.
One disappointment however, is the time it takes for these to connect to my phone. They take about twice the time than 1st Gen to connect, that's not good at all. I really hope it will be fixed in the next patches because at this price you should only get more not less.
Overall really please with these. I’m glad I bought them even if they are very expensive. It might be worth the upgrade for some or not but I still think these are a great improvement compared to 1st Gen.

EDIT 17/04/20: Unfortunately they still hurt like 1st Gen after about 1h. I find that if you twist them up a little bit when it's sore it does help. I still love the sound though and I'm convinced that the sound remains the same or even better than 1st Gen providing you tweak the EQ a bit. It needs adding more bass than the previous version One thing I've also noticed is, despite the fact that you can't pair multiple devices at the same time, the earbuds do remember the last device they were connected to. Good thing if like me you often switch from your work computer / phone. No need to repair every time either, just disconnect from the device and connect to the other one. I haven't experienced a single disconnection, just some very short cut-off but very rarely and I've been walking around the flat no problem.

After numerous reviews by audiophiles, gazillion reddit discussions and youtube/amazon comments, I decided to make a purchase for Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 instead of Airpods pro (there wasn't any budget constraint :P). Got the first set of buds replaced as I thought they were faulty ones but post receiving second set of buds and almost 15 days usage later here are my thoughts:
Brief review:
Pros - 2 year warranty; best, wide and immersive soundstage- deep bass, crisp mids and non-annoying highs; control volume directly via buds; IPX4 water resistant, battery life is great, premium case.
Cons - Handling and convenience (APP has better); substandard EQ, poor call comfort and quality, lagging touch controls, lot of bugs to be fixed. THIS DOES NOT HAVE HOT SWAPS/MULTICONNECT FEATURE; WILL ONLY CONNECT WITH ONE DEVICE AT A TIME WHICH IS A VERY BIG ISSUE.
Verdict - Overall, only premium sound quality for premium price but not premium features. If you will use massively for music go for these. For calling purpose, buy APP. For very generic use by Airpods gen 2 and buy some ear cans worth 10k.

------Great Sound, great Sound and great sound ------- (4.5/5)
Best sounding earbuds hands down. Prior to this I have owned airpods gen 1 and gen 2; I have also used elite 65t, bose soundsport, plantronics ear cans (with ANC) and few wired buds. Sennys offer a great soundstage. The sound experience is overall immersive with a deep bass (very apt), crisp mids and non-bothering highs. While watching a movie, it did give a slight dolby atmos kind of in-ear sound feels. Airpods gen1 and 2, doesn't offer even offer 60% of what Sennys offer in terms of sound quality. After a firmware upgrade to 4.8.0, the soundstage becomes much wider. The Loudness was not very much as compared to Apple but was drastically changed/uplifted after the firmware upgrade. Now they sound hell louder. Sound balance is great between left and right buds, you will hear layers of sound uncovering and hidden sound clear on old songs. Give it sometime and you won't enjoy music on any other buds surely. Overall, Premium sound at premium price.

Build quality is also premium especially the case. Handling is not that great. While plugging in or taking out of the case/ears it happens to slip from the hands and fall off. Airpods on the other hand are easy to handly coz of the stem. Taking them out of the case is also very easy as the are already protruding in the case. Overall handling is not as great but build quality is superb. Can't wear for long hours, you will have to get used to it surpassing headaches for initial few days. Ergonomically the do fit good but again not for long durations.
------Touch Controls------- (3/5)
A huge plus for controlling the volume via direct touch controls on the buds vs. Airpods and airpods pro (APP) doesn't offer this feature; something which was there on elite 65t though it wasnt touch control but physical buttons. In MTW2, the intuitive touch controls are lagging, with a single touch to pause music, there is a lag which is slight irritating. While changing position lying down, an arm touch can randomly start assistant/play-pause music.
-------Connectivity and call quality------ (1.5/5)
1.5/5 because of a major reason which is "hot swaps" between devices. It cannot be simultaneously connected to my laptop and phone. I have to disconnect and reconnect one device to get it going which is so so irritating since this tech is available already with other players and Senny should not have left this gap at this price. No brainer thingy.
The call connectivity also feels poor as there are cracks with on going calls and with ANC ON the other person onn the call is hardly able to hear anything and experience a very massive dip in the call volume.

Have heard from others a lot of complaints on ANC. Reviewers have mentioned that they don't find a difference if ANC is on or off. I personally think the passive noice cancellation itself is so great as they make a deeper seal that ANC effect feels lesser in ear. Overall, I was satisfied with ANC performance. (better after firmware upgrade).
i will be returning them finally and go for APP for overall comfort and convenience and multi-connect issue
