I design and create artisan, handcrafted jewelry at affordable prices. Each piece is created by me, never using prefabricated ear wires, clasps, ring shanks or bails. After taking classes at Danaca Design Studio in Seattle, WA - learning to master a soldering torch, jeweler's saw, chain mail design, torch enameling and wire work skills, I bring design ideas to life, work from my crowded bench and ship to you.
For me, working with metal is restorative. My process begins with selecting the right gauge of wire (always sterling silver, copper or gold fill) and working it to help harden the metal. Once I've achieved the perfect shape and size I solder the piece with a torch, clean it in a pickle solution, file it and then set it in a tumbler full of stainless steel shot. This final process helps to harden the piece again and bring it to a high shine.
Average Production Time for Custom Orders: 15 days
Custom Order Options: I can customize any order to change the length of a necklace or earring, the size of the hoops, the color or we can create your own custom set of stacking rings from any of the rings that I offer in my shop. Really, if you've got an idea for a project just let me know... most things are possible! The average production time is longer for these kinds of custom orders because often I have to contact a supplier to purchase materials specific to your customization. When this is the case, I'm waiting on their delivery first. If I have the supplies on hand then the production time will not be as long. As with any custom orders, there are no refunds or exchanges. I can not sell an item that's been customized for you.
